Notre Dame Club of Gettysburg The Notre Dame Club of Gettysburg was chartered in July 2004. We welcome students, alumni, parents and friends from southeastern Pennsylvania.

Chartered in 2004, the Notre Dame Club of Gettysburg is seen as one of the newer ND Alumni Clubs worldwide, but our ties to Notre Dame go back even further. On July 2nd, 1863 Father William Corby, CSC and Chaplain of the Irish Brigade, gave General Absolution to his men on the fields of Ge

ttysburg. Identical statues of Father Corby stand on the battlefield as well as on the grounds of Notre Dame, a gift from the Irish Brigade, to honor their beloved Chaplain.

Last night, members attended Gettysburg's 100 Nights of Taps. Starting with a tour of the National Cemetery, the evening concluded with the playing of Taps at the Soldier's National Monument and a historical vignette of 2nd Lt. Sumner Paine who was killed during Pickett's Charge on July 3, 1863.
