🎉 Celebrating 7 years of serving the Olympia community! 🎉

We are incredibly honored to have been voted GOLD for Best Occupational Therapy in the Best of South Sound for the past TWO years! 🏆🏆

Thank you to our amazing families, dedicated team, and supportive community for trusting CTI and allowing us to do what we love every day. We couldn’t have reached this milestone without you! 🐧

Here’s to many more years of helping children grow, thrive, and reach their fullest potential! ✨

We were recently sent this video from one of our CTI families.

At CTI, we believe in meeting each child where they are, supporting the whole family, and building progress through connection, trust and evidence-based occupational therapy that supports lasting progress.

Because when families and providers work together, meaningful change happens.

It takes a village—and I’m proud that CTI gets to be part of that for so many families.

Every child who walks through our doors is treated like one of our own.

Love,
Mr. Jason 🐧 👇

This kiddo is moving one colored piece at a time to create a full stack of the same color. While it looks like a simple sorting task, they’re working on so many important skills:

🧠 Problem solving & planning
🎯 Visual discrimination (identifying and matching colors)
✋ Fine motor control & grasp
⏳ Impulse control (moving only one piece at a time)
👀 Visual attention & scanning
💪 Persistence and flexible thinking when the plan changes OTKids PlayBasedLearning

🌼 Creating + Connecting Through Play 🌼

Today’s activity: making a flower keychain!
This fun, hands-on craft is more than just cute — it’s packed with skill-building opportunities.

While creating their keychain, we’re working on:
• Fine motor skills & finger strength ✋
• Bilateral coordination (using both hands together)
• Visual-motor integration 👀➡️✋
• Sequencing & planning skills
• Attention and task persistence
• Creativity & self-expression 🎨
• Independence and confidence building 💪

🌈✨ Rainbow Clip Beads in action! ✨🌈

Balance + coordination + focus all in one fun activity!

This kiddo worked hard walking across the balance beam while carefully carrying marbles to sort by color — building motor planning, visual-motor skills, and dynamic balance along the way. 💪

Then we took it to the floor in prone to strengthen that core (hello shoulder stability + postural control 👏) before creating a beautiful rainbow masterpiece at the end! 🌈

Play with purpose. Strength through fun. ❤️

Side by side, swing by swing 🤍

In pediatric occupational therapy, it’s not just about play — it’s about building balance, core strength, coordination, confidence, and friendships along the way.

Because sometimes the best growth happens right next to a friend. 💫

Two friends, one table, and endless creativity 🎨
Free painting builds fine motor skills, bilateral coordination, sensory exploration, and social connection — all while having fun together. This is what meaningful play looks like in pediatric OT 💛

🌸🎨 Watching science come to life!
Using capillary action, the paint travels up the stems and blooms into the petals — turning this into a hands-on learning + motor activity!

✨ Targets:
• Fine motor control (placing & stabilizing stems)
• Visual attention & tracking
• Cause-and-effect learning
• Patience & impulse control

Learning happens best when it’s colorful and fun 💛

Standing strong + working smart 💪🧠

This activity combines balance, attention, and fine motor skills all in one!
Standing on the BOSU ball challenges core strength, balance, and postural control while engaging the vestibular system. Using the wall-mounted paper encourages:
✋ Wrist extension
✏️ Fine motor control & hand strength
👀 Visual attention & focus
🧠 Motor planning and coordination

Functional, engaging, and purpose-driven movement—this is OT at work ✨
