Your breastfeeding diet does not have to be sad and flavorless. 🌶️

Most breastfeeding parents do not need to avoid dairy, spicy foods, chocolate—or anything else—“just in case.”

Eat a healthy, varied diet and enjoy your food. Elimination diets should only be used when there’s a clear medical reason and guidance from a qualified provider.

This is too fun. Emily and Megan rockin, rollin and keeping the milk flowin since 1955! 🤪🤣❤️💃

Seriously… LOOK AT THAT COLOR. 💛

Breast milk comes in all kinds of colors, but this batch deserves its own photoshoot.

Taking medication while breastfeeding? Don’t start pumping and dumping just yet!

Most medications and immunizations are safe to use while breastfeeding. Every medication should still be evaluated individually based on the dose, timing, baby’s age and overall health.

Before stopping breastfeeding or discarding that liquid gold, talk with a knowledgeable healthcare provider or pharmacist. We’re here to help you find accurate information and make a plan that protects both you and your baby.

Do you feel overwhelmed with all these decisions to make? We do! There are so many things on the shelves and it's completely too much! The thing that sucks is not every pump works for every person. You may get one that works "ok" but it could be better. Ask us. We have seen them all and know the pros and cons to all of them!

💜💛This week, we’re celebrating the beauty, strength, and realness of the breastfeeding journey.

To the mom who is nursing around the clock.
To the mom who is pumping.
To the mom who is combo feeding.
To the mom who is navigating challenges she never expected.
To the mom who breastfed for a day, a month, a year, or beyond.
And to the mom whose journey looked completely different than she planned.

We see you. We support you. We celebrate you. 💜💛

We know taking placenta pills can help aid in reducing postpartum depression, but what can it do to your milk supply??

Your body has a very specific hormonal shift after birth that tells your milk to come in:

**When the placenta is delivered, estrogen and progesterone levels drop rapidly
**That drop is what allows prolactin (the milk-making hormone) to fully kick in

Now here’s where placenta pills come in:
** Placenta contains hormones
Even after processing, placenta capsules can still contain small amounts of estrogen and progesterone

**Reintroducing those hormones may pause prolactin.
If your body is getting a signal that those hormones are still around, it can:
• Delay your milk coming in
• Decrease overall milk production
• Make supply feel inconsistent or “low”

Think of it like this:

Your body is trying to flip the “milk ON” switch after birth.
Placenta pills can confuse the system by nudging hormones back in the opposite direction.

It's important to know this isn't the case for everyone but it's definitely something to consider.

What should be happening instead:
Encouragement. Hands-on help. Watching a full feed. Explaining what’s normal. Protecting both feeding and maternal confidence. Feeling safe in what you're doing matters!

Reach out! 💜💛
