What is Mohs surgery?🔬

Mohs surgery is a highly specialized treatment for skin cancer that removes cancerous cells layer by layer while preserving as much healthy skin as possible. It is commonly used to treat basal cell carcinoma and squamous cell carcinoma, especially in cosmetically sensitive areas like the face, nose, lips, ears, and around the eyes.

Basal Cell Carcinoma is the most common type of skin cancer, but the good news is that it’s highly treatable when detected early. 🙌

The before photo shows a basal cell carcinoma on the left zygoma (cheek area) and the after photo shows the healing progress just 2 months after Mohs surgery.
