At the Neuro Wellness Center, we're a "Safe Haven" where people come to move, learn, create, connect, laugh, and build friendships. 🤝 The wellness center, open since January 2012, was made possible by the philanthropy of Gilbert residents Alan Fitzgerald and his wife, Sheila, who attends as part of her management program for her Parkinson's. The goal is for the Neuro Wellness Center to set the bar for effective long-term treatment for individuals with Parkinson’s disease.”

This morning's Coffee Talk was a Staff Spotlight presented by Kelli C. She shared her personal story through many wonderful photos spreading from her childhood through the present day. We enjoyed hearing about her family (including sharing so many wonderful memories with her cousins), her dancing from early youth through high school, her marriage to her husband Fidel, and her evolving educational interest starting in exercise and physical science to her current focus on Occupational Therapy.

BNW CoffeeTalk Member Spotlight - Pam L-G, 8-21-2026

Friday's member spotlight was presented by Pam, who shared her life story through an enlightening and informative way using a mixture of photos, storytelling (especially examples of how education has been so important to her personally and to her family), movie references and treasured books (passed around), and a gallery of posters that reinforced her talk and allowed us to dive deeper into specific aspects of her life's story all while weaving it together like a tapestry using the alphabet (i.e., ABC's) primer theme as only a lifelong educator could do. We learned so much about her journey and values through her presentation.

This past Friday at Coffee Talk, the Chime Time BNW Tone Chime Choir under the direction of Music Therapy Director Piper Laird and the capable guidance of the music therapy interns Kasey, Patty and Arella gave a concert of music selections.
