There is a story behind every detail inside NOVA. ✨

šŸ¦ā€ā¬› The birds.
🪾 The textures.
šŸ“š The books.
šŸ›‹ļø The muted colors.
šŸŒ¤ļø The warmth.
šŸŽ‘ The little pieces collected from different places and different versions of me.

Some people walk into a space and only see decor. I see …

🫶 Symbolism.
🧠 Memory.
šŸ‘‘ Generational patterns.
šŸŖŽ Emotional inheritance.
🧩 Fragments of becoming.

If you’ve been curious about the vision behind NOVA - the intention behind the aesthetics, the atmosphere, the birds, and the kind of care I hope people feel when they walk through these doors - I would love for you to join us for an evening of connection, community, and celebration as we officially celebrate NOVA.

Because this space was never meant to feel overly polished, clinical, or transactional.
I wanted it to feel grounded, layered, warm, and quietly alive… a place where people can exhale a little.

For now, I think I like the idea that people simply feel it before they fully understand it.

NOVA was never meant to just be an office.
It was meant to feel like a pause from survival mode. A space where people can slowly unclench from the roles they carry outside these walls.

The closer we get to celebrating NOVA, the more I realize this vision was built long before I had the words for it. šŸ¤

At first glance, these photos might look like picture-perfect moments.
The kind of Instagram snapshots that could make someone feel envious of another person’s life.

But behind them…
there is a whole other depth to the story.
They look like ordinary moments …
smiles, milestones, life continuing.
But behind them were quiet fears, losses that didn’t have language, and a body that remembered what my mind was trying to hold together.

The kind of loss that is real… even when the world doesn’t always recognize it.
And when pregnancy does happen again -
it isn’t just joy.
It is fear layered into hope.

Holding my breath at every milestone.
Waiting for the other shoe to drop.
They call them ā€œrainbow babiesā€ā€Øbecause they come after the storm.
But what we don’t talk about enough
is that sometimes the storm clouds don’t fully leave.

You can feel gratitude and grief.
Love and fear.
Hope and guardedness all at the same time.

Mother’s Day can be beautiful.
And it can also hold complexity.

For the women who are mothers.
For the women who almost were.
For the women who are still waiting.
For the women who carry both life and loss within them.

If you’re holding mixed emotions this week …
you’re not alone.
And you’re allowed to make space for all of it…
the love, the grief, the quiet in-between
even the pieces that don’t fit neatly into the version of the day the world so easily celebrates.

Motherhood isn’t always a clear title.
Sometimes it’s an experience shaped by what was, what is, and what could have been.

This is me honoring all of it.
The parts that are seen…
and the parts that never were

ā€¼ļøSlowing down when you’re used to always movingā€¼ļø

I thought ā€œvacation modeā€ would just click.
Like I’d land here and suddenly feel lighter… more present.

But my mind didn’t get the memo.

It kept reaching for work.
For structure.
For ā€œwhat’s next.ā€

Even mindfulness, something I genuinely value and practice, stayed in its usual lane… a few intentional minutes here and there.
Not this kind of extended stillness.

And if I’m being real… there has been some guilt in it.
Not working as much.
Not responding as quickly.
Letting myself just… exist.

I know I don’t have to earn rest.
I believe that.
And still … ACTUALLY living it, is something I’m clearly still learning.

It’s taken me time to even allow this…
This extended space of being still, of not being as productive, without immediately trying to fill it.

But then there were these moments…

Me, standing there holding tiny flowers 🪻 like it was the only thing that mattered.
Going for a run through my ā€œcalm place.ā€
My best friend beside me šŸ‘Æā€ā™€ļøā€¦
Conversations that don’t need to go anywhere.
My daughter slowing everything down without even trying.
A town that hasn’t rushed, hasn’t changed, hasn’t asked anything of me.

And something about all of that softened me.

Not in a big, dramatic way -
just enough to notice what I usually miss.

That maybe mindfulness isn’t something I carve out…
it’s something I let myself fall into.

And now, as I’m getting ready to leave…
I can feel myself letting it in a little more.

I’m not fully there.
But I think I’m starting to meet it halfway.

And for now… that feels like enough.✨

There’s something about being in a new place that slows you down just enough to notice yourself again.

Not the ā€œproductiveā€ version.
Not the one holding it all together.
Just you… breathing, noticing, existing.

Mindfulness isn’t always sitting still with your eyes closed.
Sometimes it’s standing in the sun, feeling the warmth on your skin, realizing how much you’ve been rushing through your own life.

We don’t lose ourselves all at once.
It happens in small ways …
in the constant doing, the overthinking, the pushing through.

And we come back the same way…
in small, quiet moments of noticing.

✨ The way your body feels when you finally pause
✨ The thoughts that soften when you stop fighting them
✨ The version of you that isn’t trying so hard to be anything

Maybe mindfulness isn’t about becoming someone new…
Maybe it’s about returning to who you were
before everything got so loud.

What would it look like to meet yourself there again?
