Our team at Wyoming Orthopedics & Spine honors the life and legacy of Dr. Gerald L. Baker, Sr.

Dr. Baker was the first orthopedic surgeon to practice in Gillette, beginning his career here on November 19, 1979. He went on to found Gillette Bone & Joint Clinic, helping establish orthopedic care in our community. In 2003, the practice became Powder River Orthopedics, and after more than 31 years of dedicated service, Dr. Baker retired on December 31, 2010.

Throughout his career, Dr. Baker cared for thousands of patients with skill, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to improving lives. His vision and dedication laid the foundation for the practice that continues today as Wyoming Orthopedics & Spine.

We are deeply grateful for Dr. Baker’s pioneering spirit, his commitment to excellence, and the lasting impact he made on our patients, our practice, and the Gillette community.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to Linda, his children, grandchildren, and all who knew and loved him.

Thank you, Dr. Baker, for your decades of service and for the legacy you leave behind. Your contributions to orthopedic care in our community will not be forgotten.
