• OptiLight (IPL) – an FDA-approved light-based treatment for dry eye that targets inflammation associated with meibomian gland dysfunction

• NuEra – a radiofrequency device used to deliver controlled heat to the treatment area for patient comfort and overall tissue support

• FireFly Slit Lamp – a close-up exam of your eye surface and lids to check for irritation, debris, or demodex

• Oculus Keratograph – detailed imaging that maps your tear film, oil glands, and overall eye surface health

Meet Dr. Jeff Michaels, ODs!

As an optometrist specializing in dry eye, I get to do just that! From aiding legislative changes for laser procedures in South Dakota, Tennessee, and Virginia to volunteering at the Special Olympics, it's all about making a difference. ❤️

When I'm not advocating for optometry, you can find me on the golf course, running, or cheering for my Detroit and University of Michigan teams! 🏌️‍♂️🏃‍♂️

Plus, I teach mental conditioning to athletes and lecture nationwide.

When I'm not focusing on ocular disease or myopia management, you’ll find me outdoors—camping in Shenandoah, biking the Santa Monica Boardwalk, or even boating in Bermuda! 🚴‍♀️⛵ And yes, I love capturing these moments through photography. 📸
