Urgent care is a great option for conditions that are not life-threatening such as cold and flu symptoms (if you are unable to connect with your primary care provider), fevers, rashes, urinary tract infections, minor burns and more.

You can visit UM Urgent Care at Glen Burnie (7954 Crain Hwy S, Glen Burnie, MD 21061) or UM Urgent Care at Pasadena (4125 Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD 21122) 7 days a week — including Labor Day — between 8 am and 8 pm.

Deciding on where to seek care can feel overwhelming, especially when you are already feeling unwell. But, between Primary Care, Urgent Care and Emergency Care, University of Maryland Medical System has you covered.

Primary care is the best option for non-urgent conditions. This may include cold and flu symptoms, eye infections, sprains and more.

If you are unable to see your primary care provider (P*P), you can visit an urgent care center. This is a great option for anyone 12 months or older with conditions that are not life threatening such as a minor allergic reaction, minor cuts requiring stitches, rashes or even cold and flu symptoms.

Chest pain, acute onset illness or severe injuries need more care than your P*P or an urgent care center can offer. This is when you should go to the emergency room.

This session of the Parkinson's Disease Support Group will feature Joseph M. Savitt, MD, PhD, Associate Professor of Neurology, University of Maryland School of Medicine. Dr. Savitt will discuss new research on Parkinson's Disease.
