This week, our office released an update to Maryland's Overdose Prevention Team Substance Use Program Inventory!

The program inventory tracks a wide variety of local-level programs addressing substance use and overdose across the state.

Visit bit.ly/moor-opts to see the progress that local jurisdictions are making in their efforts to grow programs that can reduce overdoses and increase access to substance use care.

🟣August is Overdose Awareness Month🟣

Overdose from substance use is still a very real epidemic that has affected the vast majority of us in some way, shape or form, whether from near or afar.

HOWEVER - the fatality rate from OD in the state of Maryland has steadily declined over the last 4 consecutive years, reaching a 10 year low in 2025. This is largely in part due to naloxone access, treatment options and harm reduction resources.

We urge everyone to please educate & support yourselves & your loved ones, so that we can continue on this downward trend.

Our building will be lit up purple for the remainder of the month to raise awareness.🎗️💜
