Guess I'll reclassify myself as a "PMOS" expert.

I do like that this name encompasses the endocrine aspect of the condition.

It's definitely not all about reproductive organs.

Hopefully a clearer name can lead to more/better research funding! 🤞

You may have heard rumors that Polycystic O***y Syndrome, known as PCOS, is getting renamed. I can confirm with certainty, those rumors are true!

Drum roll, please….

The syndrome formally known as Polycystic O***y Syndrome is now to be called Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome or PMOS.

Let that simmer a bit.

PMOS = Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome

While I am in favor of a name change, I VOTED AGAINST CHANGING THE ACRONYM.
