Throughout this series, Wellness Wednesday has given us the opportunity to bring our community together, share valuable health and wellness education and connect with local experts.

Ending summer on a high note at Emerge! 🎡

We wrapped up a season of weekly summer BBQs with a carnival-themed celebration on our beautiful patio, filled with great food, fun, and time spent together.

We’ve loved making the most of our outdoor space all summer long and creating special experiences for our residents each week. But the fun doesn’t end when summer does!

We can’t wait to bring the celebrations inside and show you everything we have planned throughout our beautiful facility this fall. 🍂

Wellness Wednesday brings our community together for meaningful conversations about health and healthy aging. 💙

Glen Cove Center & Emerge Rehabilitation and Nursing were proud to host a special Wellness Wednesday featuring Dr. Ayodele Oyeyemi, MD, a geriatric medicine physician with Northwell Health’s Age-Friendly Care team in Oyster Bay. Northwell Health

During this educational discussion, Dr. Oyeyemi shared the 5 M’s of Geriatrics and provided valuable insight into the importance of personalized care, helping older adults and families better understand the many factors that contribute to aging well.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to partner with healthcare experts and provide our residents, families, and community members with resources and education that support lifelong wellness.

Wellness Wednesday is about more than wellness; it’s about connection, conversation, and the memories that stay with us.

Emerge Nursing & Rehabilitation and Glen Cove Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation recently came together to host a special Wellness Wednesday for the Glen Cove community, centered around the power of reminiscing and sharing our stories. 💭

We were thrilled to welcome author Michele Wachter to discuss her book, Once Upon a Wishbone, and explore how memories and storytelling can connect us across generations.

This event was completely free and open to the Glen Cove community, creating a meaningful space for local seniors and neighbors to connect, reflect, and enjoy an afternoon together.

We’re proud to continue bringing free wellness programs, educational events, and community resources to Glen Cove and Nassau County.

Breakfast + BINGO = a pretty perfect morning! ☕️🥞🎉

Glen Cove Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation and Emerge Nursing & Rehabilitation were proud to host a morning of breakfast, bingo, prizes, and plenty of laughs with our local senior community!

Because community outreach is about more than showing up…it’s about building relationships, making connections, and having a little fun along the way. 😉

Our care doesn’t end when you go home. ❤️

At our Nassau County facilities, patients have someone in their corner even after they walk out our doors.

Our Patient Navigators follow along with patients after discharge, helping them navigate the next steps in their recovery; from assisting with follow-up doctor appointments to providing continued guidance and support along the way.

Because going home is a milestone, but the journey doesn’t stop there.

This Patient Advocacy Day, we’re proud to highlight the people who help make sure our patients know one thing: you’re never alone in your journey.

What does neurological rehabilitation actually look like beyond the therapy gym? 🧠

Looking back at one of our Wellness Wednesdays at Emerge Nursing & Rehabilitation, part of a free educational series created to bring valuable health and wellness resources directly to our Glen Cove community.

This session put the focus on neurological health, with Ricky Voltaggio from our Neurological Rehabilitation Program leading attendees through an interactive, educational experience.

And neurological rehabilitation is only part of what we do. Emerge is proud to offer a CARF-accredited rehabilitation program while caring for individuals with a wide range of diagnoses and rehabilitation needs.

Because better outcomes start with the right education, resources, and specialized support. 💪

She arrived in a wheelchair. Just 2½ weeks later, Patricia is walking out with a whole new level of independence. 👏

When Patricia came to Emerge Nursing & Rehabilitation in Glen Cove, she relied on a wheelchair for mobility and needed assistance with everyday activities.

After just two and a half weeks of dedicated rehabilitation, Patricia made tremendous progress, regaining her strength, improving her mobility, and now walking and completing daily activities independently.

Congratulations, Patricia! Your progress in such a short time is something to celebrate. 🎉
