Round 3 of our Atria color challenge was Green and it was a Blast!

We all got dressed in Green, and had a special appearance by a pickle 🥒 and a lime 🍋‍🟩 during the event.

We had delicious mix green fruit salad and green lemonade! Residents got to take their frustration out by breaking down the pickle piñata which they enjoyed a lot.

We also dance and sang The Green Door song during karaoke. 🎤

We had a wonderful time together with great food, burgers 🍔, hotdogs, and cool Kona Ice made it very Special!

Our residents had a wonderful time sharing laughter and smiles at the Flip Circus. 🤡 🎪

Residents were so appreciative and said that they don’t even know when was the last time they had been to a circus.

It was a true joy to experience the tricks, magic of circus and created beautiful memories!

The time has come! Life Guidance residents had the opportunity to watch a monarch butterfly grow from a tiny caterpillar that we found in our garden, into a beautiful butterfly - we celebrated the final step in its journey as we released it back into its natural habitat. 🦋🌳😊

Residents really enjoyed watching the journey and brought back so many memories from when they were children. Watching it spread its wings and take flight, as you can see, it was such a special moment for all our residents!

What an amazing educational presentation we had today on Scam Awareness by Officer Allison from our Glen Ellyn Police Department.

We gained a lot of valuable safety knowledge specifically for seniors who are prone to get scammed easily. Residents had a bunch of questions which they were so appreciative of getting a correct answers.

We served it up New England-style at our taste of Cape Cod event.

We enjoyed clam chowder, lobster rolls, potato chips and homemade broccoli slaw. And don’t forget about dessert - we had classic Boston cream pie to top it off, we watched the scary summer classic, Jaws!

We can’t wait to see and taste the cuisine from our destination next month!
