Here are the preoperative and postoperative photos of another patient who had childhood-onset left exotropia (outward drifting of the eye).

She had been hesitant about strabismus surgery for years, but after finding us online and reading about the experiences of our patients, she felt confident moving forward with surgery.

She is very happy with her results.

This patient had been living with a significant head tilt and face turn for years due to double vision following a car accident that resulted in a left superior oblique palsy (an eye muscle weakness). Despite seeing multiple providers and trying prism glasses to manage his double vision, his symptoms persisted.

We were able to surgically rebalanced his eye muscles, and one week after surgery, his double vision resolved. His head tilt and face turn are gone, and he is now able to hold his head in a natural, comfortable position.

Strabismus surgery isn’t just about eye alignment—it can restore comfort, confidence, and quality of life.

Before & after strabismus surgery for exotropia (outward turning of the eye).

This patient had surgery as a child for esotropia (inward turning), but years later developed significant exotropia due to a stretched scar/lost muscle — along with noticeable bulging of the left eye.

During surgery, we were able to locate the affected muscle and advance it back to its proper position. This patient Is very happy with his results.

He originally came to see us after we operated on his son. A great reminder that both children and adults can benefit from strabismus surgery. It’s never too late to improve alignment, function, and confidence.

Before and 3 years after strabismus surgery for esotropia (inward turning of the eyes). His alignment is noticeably improved and he is very happy with the results!

Strabismus surgery offers so many benefits — improved alignment, better depth perception, and a huge boost in confidence — but we’re always amazed by the unexpected ways it changes our patients’ lives!

This patient had a left eye that could not move outward since birth. She had to turn her face to the left if she wanted to use her two eyes together and she suffered from chronic neck pain. If she tried to straighten her head, her eyes crossed. After years of getting disappointing news from multiple eye surgeons she found us through an internet search and we were fortunately able to surgically correct the problem. She is very happy with the results!
