Our second day at the McLeod County Fair was a great one! Our residents enjoyed seeing the cattle and camels, treating themselves to some delicious fair food, and, of course, stopping by the Glencoe Regional Health booth to say hello. We're always so grateful for opportunities to get out in the community and enjoy all the fun the fair has to offer!

A little fresh air, a little adventure, and a lot of smiles! Our residents recently enjoyed a ride on the trishaw bike, thanks to a wonderful volunteer who gave them the chance to get outside, feel the breeze and enjoy a change of scenery. We're so grateful to our volunteers for helping create special memories for our residents!

Our residents enjoyed a wonderful day out in the community! We started at Oak Leaf Park, where we fed the animals and even had the special opportunity to hold a 3-day-old peacock. After lunch at Dairy Queen, we wrapped up the day with a little shopping at Dollar Tree.

So many kind people went out of their way to hold doors, lend a helping hand, and made our residents feel cared for and valued. Thank you to everyone who helped make this outing so special and a reminder of what a caring community we live in!

After weeks of watching them grow, form their cocoons, and emerge with wings, our butterflies finally took flight! Residents enjoyed the fresh air as the butterflies fluttered around before saying goodbye. A special thank you to one of our resident's nephews for building the beautiful atrium, and to everyone who helped bring such joy to our residents, visitors, and team!

What a special afternoon! Residents recently enjoyed a special performance from Dan Witucki, a Minnesota Music Hall of Fame inductee and internationally recognized concertina musician. Thanks to a connection through our nurse Joanne Kuehn, Dan stopped by to share his talent, and residents are still talking about it days later! We're so grateful for community connections that create moments like these for our residents.

Over the past few months, something special has been unfolding here—tiny caterpillars growing and transforming into beautiful butterflies. Residents, families, and visitors alike have enjoyed following each stage, from first hatch to cocoon. Recently, our residents had the joy of releasing them. We marked the occasion with a lemonade stand, soaking in the sunshine as we watched their journey begin. Seeing them take flight was a truly meaningful moment for everyone!
