Jamie, one of our Developmental Therapists, is using this simple DIY activity made from a recycled box and colorful poker chips to target a variety of early learning skills. While having fun, children can practice:

✨ Color recognition and matching
✨ Visual attention and focus
✨ Problem-solving skills
✨ Sensory regulation through repetitive, calming play

We love finding creative, low-cost activities that support development and can easily be recreated at home. These meaningful play experiences help children learn, grow, and gain confidence in their everyday skills.

Regulation > everything.

When parents and caregivers understand their own individual differences—what calms them and what overwhelms them, it becomes easier to support co-regulation with their child. Our nervous systems set the tone.
