What makes Silverado different? Walk into any of our communities and you will feel it immediately. 💜

Dogs roam freely. Children visit and fill the halls with laughter. Music plays. The smell of something delicious drifts in from culinary class. Residents tend to gardens, paint, dance, and move through their day surrounded by life.

Most senior care environments feel clinical. Silverado feels like home, and that is by design. The research is clear: connection, sensory engagement, and purpose are what truly support people living with dementia. We do not treat enrichment as something extra. It is the foundation of everything we do.

We celebrated Juneteenth yesterday in our community. Some residents enjoyed live music from William, while others listened and learned about the history and significance of this important day. Our Culinary Team prepared a special meal for residents and staff featuring barbecue ribs, baked beans, and cabbage with bacon. We also enjoyed delicious treats during our celebration.

It was an informative and joyful occasion that allowed us to come together, learn about, honor, and appreciate the meaning of Juneteenth while enjoying great food, music, and fellowship.

🎷✨ Our gentlemen got into the spirit of the evening by selecting their own stylish hats and bow ties, adding to the fun and elegance of our Smooth Jazz Night Club Father's Day Celebration.

We were treated to live entertainment by Shorewood, whose smooth and vibrant voices created the perfect atmosphere for the evening. Our gentlemen and their families relaxed and enjoyed the music while our servers provided exceptional service and delicious food throughout the event.

The specialty drinks were the perfect complement to the meal. Guests enjoyed the Chef's Kiss, a refreshing blend of cognac, orange, lemon, mint, and Sprite—yummm! For those looking for a non-alcoholic option, we served the Crimson Delight, which was equally delicious and a crowd favorite.

It was a wonderful celebration for our amazing men in our community. Seeing residents, families, and team members come together to create such special memories is what makes these events so meaningful. We hope all of our gentlemen enjoyed their evening and felt celebrated for the incredible role they play in our Silverado family

We are busy setting up for our Father's Day celebration! This year’s theme is Night Club Smooth Jazz, and the transformation is underway.

Our Culinary Team, Management Team, and Engagement Team have all been hands-on, working together to turn the room into a sophisticated jazz club experience. From the décor to the atmosphere, every detail is being thoughtfully prepared to make this a memorable day for the amazing men in our community.

The rainy weather didn't stop us from getting out and enjoying the day! Residents headed out on a scenic drive along the lake, taking in the beautiful views while sipping on delicious milkshakes. Some of our adventurers also enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Café Corazón. It was a great reminder that a little rain can't stop us from making memories, sharing laughs, and enjoying time together!

Today, we were fortunate to have Crystal, one of our amazing Culinary Cooks, spend time with our residents for a special baking activity. At the residents' request, Crystal made cookies completely from scratch! As she mixed the ingredients together, she talked through each step of the process and asked questions, keeping everyone engaged and involved.

Of course, no true baker gets through a cookie-making session without wearing a little flour. As we discovered today, if you don't have flour on you, then you're probably not cooking right! There were plenty of laughs as everyone got into the baking spirit.

Once the dough was ready, residents had the opportunity to choose their favorite sweet mix-ins and decide how large they wanted their cookies to be. Mary Jo, staying true to her free spirit, decided to make a cookie as big as her plate! Why settle for a regular-sized cookie when you can go for the world record?

It was wonderful to see the smiles, laughter, and creativity shared throughout the activity. A big thank you to Crystal for creating such a sweet and memorable experience for our residents!

🍦 Sweet Treat Outing! 🍦

Some of our residents enjoyed an afternoon outing for milkshakes at Gilles Frozen Custard. Not only did they get to enjoy a delicious treat, but they also visited a true Wisconsin landmark! Gilles is recognized as the oldest frozen custard stand in Wisconsin, making it a fun trip filled with both flavor and history.

CNA Appreciation Week is off to a great start! ☕🎉

Today, Brighton treated our team to a delicious cold coffee bar, and it was exactly what our caregivers needed on this warm and humid day. The refreshing drinks were a big hit and helped everyone start their morning with a smile.
