โญ Success Story โญ
John was admitted to the hospital in February to have his infected right hip replacement removed and a temporary antibiotic spacer placed. After his hospital stay, he came to Life Care Center of Glendale for rehabilitation. He returned to the hospital in May to have the spacer removed and then came back to Life Care Center for additional therapy.
During his first rehabilitation stay, John needed help with bathing, dressing, toileting, getting in and out of bed, and standing. Because he could only put minimal weight on his right leg, he was unable to safely transfer on his own. After returning for his second rehabilitation stay, he still required moderate assistance with self-care and transfers but was able to make steady progress.
Throughout both stays, John participated in physical and occupational therapy five days a week. ๐ช Physical therapy focused on improving his strength, balance, and mobility while following his weight-bearing precautions. Occupational therapy helped him safely complete everyday activities using adaptive techniques.
John discharged home with his wife in April after his first stay, requiring supervision for daily activities and transfers. Following his second rehabilitation stay, with his weight-bearing restrictions lifted, John discharged home again โ this time independent with all mobility and self-care tasks. We are so proud of John and all he accomplished! ๐
๐ฌ "Mr. Walter consistently approaches each therapy session with a positive attitude, eagerly taking on new challenges and follows all prescribed precautions and activities with dedication and accuracy." โ Lord, PT.
John said, "Lord, Lindsay, Dale, Michele, Carol โ all of your therapists are very good." ๐
