America turns 250 this Fourth of July — and out here in the Valley of the Sun, that milestone feels personal. Arizona was the 48th star sewn onto the flag, one of the youngest of the connected states, settled by people who believed the best chapters were still ahead. The folks in our home have written plenty of those chapters themselves. This week we're stringing up the red, white and blue, sharing the stories behind them, and celebrating a quarter-millennium of one extraordinary country. Happy 250th, America. 🇺🇸
