Let’s clear up the confusion around Gabapentin🛑
Did you know the FDA has never approved it for general peripheral or diabetic neuropathy? It was actually developed as an anti-convulsant medication, designed primarily to treat and control seizures.
Aside from epilepsy, its only other FDA-approved use is for postherpetic neuralgia (shingles-related nerve pain). Prescribing it for everyday nerve damage is entirely off-label.
