2. A new change in bowel habits
3. Iron deficiency anemia
4. Persistent or unexplained abdominal pain
5. Unexplained weight loss or fatigue

Most people with these symptoms do not have colon cancer, but they are worth paying attention to.

Can you wake up during a colonoscopy? 😳

Yes, but it depends on the type of sedation you receive.

With moderate or “twilight” sedation, you may drift in and out of sleep. With propofol, you’re typically in a deeper sleep, and waking up is much less common.

Everyone responds differently, so if you’ve ever woken up during a procedure before, tell your GI doctor and anesthesia team ahead of time.

Your body may have more than one way to handle plastic exposure. 🤔

Small human studies have detected plastic-associated chemicals like BPA and phthalates in sweat—even in some people whose blood or urine samples showed none. That suggests sweating may support the elimination of certain plasticizers, although we don’t yet know whether sauna use meaningfully removes microplastic particles themselves. 💦

Your gut may offer another line of defense. Early laboratory and animal research suggests that certain probiotic strains can bind microplastic particles in the digestive tract and help carry them out through stool. The research is promising, but it hasn’t yet been confirmed in human clinical trials. 🦠

We’ve been paying very close attention to this emerging research, and we’re working on something special. Stay tuned. 👀

Matcha isn’t just a caffeine swap. Its polyphenols may help support beneficial gut bacteria, protect gut cells, and promote a healthier inflammatory response.

Just remember: no single drink builds a healthy microbiome. The biggest benefits come when it’s paired with a fiber-rich diet.
