You’re the one with the pharmacy on speed dial. The one who left work early last Tuesday and didn’t tell anyone why.

And when someone calls to check in, you say everything’s fine. Explaining it would take an hour you don’t have.

You don’t have to wait for them to step up before you get help.

You don’t have to do this alone…

Say it louder.

Needing help is not the same as not caring.

You’ve been doing this alone for months.

Medications. Appointments. Sleeping with one ear open.

And still you feel like you’re failing them.

You’re not failing. You’re running out of hours.

You can love someone completely and still not be able to do it all yourself.

Those two things have never been in conflict.

Getting support doesn’t take you out of the picture.

It lets you be their kid again instead of their nurse.

We’ve got you. 💙

I think you’re pretty chic ✨

Most families call us about six months after they should have. Not because they didn’t need help, but because asking for it felt like giving up.

It isn’t.

Getting support means you get to go back to being a daughter instead of a scheduler, a nurse, and a chauffeur. It means Mom stays in the house she loves. It means you sleep.

You’re not handing off the people you love. You’re getting to enjoy them again.

If you’ve been thinking about it, that’s usually the sign. Send us a message anytime 💛

Nobody tells you this: aging in place isn’t one decision. It’s a decision you keep making.

You get things set up. It works. Everyone exhales.

Then there’s a fall. Or a hospital stay. Or a night that doesn’t go the way it should.

And now you’re making the biggest call of your parent’s life in 48 hours.

Most families we sit with aren’t in crisis yet. They just feel something shifting. That’s the right time to call. Nothing has to be decided that day.

And if home stops being safe someday, we help you find what’s next. Almost 20 years here. We’ll still be here when things change.💙

And you keep not bringing it up, because you know what it’s going to cost them.

Something worth knowing before you do. This goes better when there’s already a plan for how they get where they’re going. Church, the pharmacy, coffee with the friend they’ve had for forty years. When somebody is showing up to drive them, it stops feeling like something is being taken from them.

If you’re working up to this conversation, call us.

We’ve watched families through it for almost 20 years and we’ll tell you honestly what we’ve seen work. 💙

They handed you a folder and sent you home at 4pm on a Friday.

Now it’s you.

Overnight, all weekend, first time helping them to the bathroom, no idea if that swelling is normal.

Friday discharges happen constantly and nobody staffs for them. We can start care the same day you call, weekends included. You do not have to get through the next 48 hours by yourself.

Call us. Even if it’s just to ask what to watch for tonight.

We’ve got you. 💙

Needing help is not the same as failing.

You have been the driver, the pharmacist, the cook, the one who notices when something is off before anyone else does. You have been doing it around a job and a family and your own life, without training and without a break.

And somewhere in there you started to feel like asking for help would mean you let them down.

It doesn’t. It never did.

We have sat at a lot of kitchen tables over the last twenty years, and we have never once thought less of someone for calling. Most people tell us they wish they had called sooner.

Sometimes it starts with two hours a week. Sometimes it is more. We will help you figure out what your family actually needs, even if that turns out to be smaller than you expected.

You were never supposed to carry this alone. 💛

The reason this decision feels impossible is that everyone you call sells one of the two options.

We do both. Home care and placement.

So when a family sits down with me, I’m not steering them anywhere. I’m asking four questions:

- How many hours a week do they truly need someone there?
- Are they unsafe alone, or are they lonely alone?
- Is the house itself still working for them?
- And what did they say they wanted, back when they could say it clearly?

Most families walk in thinking they have to get this right forever. You don’t. You have to get the next six months right. That’s a much smaller question and it has a much kinder answer.

We’ve been doing this here for nearly 20 years, and we stay with families through the whole thing, not just the part we get paid for.

Call us and we’ll talk it through. 💛

Why does every conversation now begin with:
“Can you hear me?”
“No, can YOU hear me?”

And somehow everyone still ends up talking over each other anyway.

Aging may change a few things, but good conversations never go out of style.
