The Community was treated to a visit from the Oak Park United Methodist Church Youth Choir who came to us all the way from Georgia to sing and socialize with the residents over delicious pastries and coffee. It was a truly memorable event for us all! 🎶

It was a delightful afternoon enjoying tasty homemade sandwich’s, scenic views, and enjoying a wonderful performance by the talented resident guitarist Cheryl. This experience allowed our residents to actively enjoy nature while united through music and song.🧺 🌳

Residents joyfully participated in making beautiful wedding bouquets and boutonnières to be used in our employee Ashley’s upcoming wedding! It was so meaningful for our residents to be able to have the opportunity to creatively contribute to her big day! 👰‍♀️ 💐

The celebration continued this afternoon as our dining team treated the residents to a community cookout featuring delicious steak filets and barbecued chicken. It was truly a treat for everyone. 👨‍🍳

The community participated in a patriotic sing-a-long with student volunteers. This showcased our resident guitarist Cheryl’s talent and the beautiful vocals of the residents.

In celebration of Memorial Day, we were were joined by student volunteers and our talented resident guitarist Cheryl, who assisted in a pinning ceremony, musical entertainment, and a patriotic karaoke honoring our community veterans and those that gave their life for our country. 🇺🇸

In celebration of National Bee Day, the residents were treated to a guided tour of the River Trails Nature Center’s bee apiary and wildlife exhibits. We got to see a rescued coyote, a barn owl, and learn about the important role bees play in nature while observing the bee hives. It was a truly memorable experience for all! 🐝
