Bromide Information

Adequate iodine intake is important for thyroid health, but other tissues throughout the body also utilize iodine.

The Japanese traditionally consume significantly more iodine through seafood and sea vegetables than many Western populations.

Unless you’re consuming foods naturally rich in iodine—such as seafood, eggs, dairy products, and other iodine-rich foods—you may not be getting enough.

Soothing Oatmeal & Aloe Dog Shampoo (16 oz / 473 mL)
Ingredients
1 cup unscented liquid castile soap (pet-safe and diluted)
1 cup distilled water
¼ cup finely ground colloidal oatmeal
¼ cup pure aloe vera gel (free of alcohol and xylitol)
1 tablespoon vegetable glycerin
1 tablespoon calendula-infused oil
1 teaspoon chamomile-infused oil
1 teaspoon vitamin E oil
Optional (only if your veterinarian says it's appropriate)
2 drops lavender essential oil
2 drops Roman chamomile essential oil

Essential oils should be used sparingly in dogs, and many veterinarians recommend avoiding them altogether, especially for puppies, pregnant dogs, cats in the household, or dogs with skin allergies.

Directions
Grind oatmeal into a fine powder if needed.
Mix the distilled water and oatmeal until smooth.
Stir in the aloe vera gel.
Add the castile soap gently to avoid excessive foaming.
Mix in glycerin, infused oils, and vitamin E.
Pour into a squeeze bottle and shake gently before each use.
How to Use
Wet your dog's coat with lukewarm water.
Massage the shampoo into the coat, avoiding the eyes and ears.
Let it sit for 5–10 minutes so the oatmeal and aloe can soothe the skin.
Rinse thoroughly.
Towel dry.
Extra Itch Relief Rinse

After shampooing, pour this over the coat:

2 cups cool water
¼ cup brewed chamomile tea (cooled)
2 tablespoons aloe vera juice

Do not rinse it out unless your dog has very sensitive skin.

It’s officially that time of year again… tick season is here. 🌿☀️ (post is for use on humans!)

Before heading outdoors, many families are turning to plant based essential oils to help support a more natural approach to outdoor protection and home wellness.

⚠️ Always research essential oils carefully before using them around pets, children, or inside the home. Some oils can be harmful to animals, especially cats and small pets. Proper dilution matters. ⚠️

Wishing you a happy, peaceful, and safe summer filled with sunshine, fresh air, and wild blooming adventures.

Here’s a bottle dilution example for those who do not know how to use essential oils yet:

For a simple 6 oz tick spray:

• Add 1 to 2 tbsp witch hazel
• Fill the rest with distilled water
• Add 15 to 25 total drops of essential oils
• Shake well before each use

Optional: Add 1 tsp carrier oil if using directly on skin for extra dilution support.

For a balanced and effective 6 oz spray, most people use 3 to 5 essential oils total.

Example blend:
• 8 drops cedarwood
• 6 drops tea tree
• 5 drops lemon eucalyptus
• 3 drops clove
• 3 drops thyme

That gives you about 25 total drops, which is plenty for a small spray bottle.

Too many oils can become overpowering on skin, irritating, or simply unnecessary. A few well chosen oils work best.

Always patch test first and research pet safe oils before using around animals.
