October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
I've seen and known this for forever. Never really thinking too much of it, other than "cancer sucks" for those who go through it or have loved ones who have.
But this year it feels different. More real. Too Real.
Our family had its first real cancer diagnosis. It hit us quick and without any warning - as cancer usually does.
It was scary, but it forced us as a family to come together to support each other, our mom, and our dad as we all navigated how to move forward with that dreaded diagnosis.
But God.
He was weaved through every single piece of the journey. He held us close, spoke softly to settle our fears, provided direction in decision making, and ultimately brought mom through it.
October is different this year for my family. It is a reminder that God is good, that He is the Great Physician, and He loves us, His children, in a mighty way. Even if the results weren't as they are, all this is still true. There is Hope in Him any way your story goes. I hope that is as encouraging to you as it has been to me.
Cancer Sucks, but God doesn't🎗💞
