Heart failure has its own rhythm — and the symptoms that bring patients real distress aren't always the ones outsiders expect.

Through Enduring Hearts, our team manages the symptoms that matter most to comfort: the breathlessness, the fluid retention, the deep fatigue, and the anxiety that travels alongside an unsteady heart.

We coordinate directly with the patient's cardiologist. We adjust as the condition changes. We answer the phone at 2 a.m.

Because cardiac patients deserve a hospice team that speaks their condition's language.

“He drums to beat up Parkinson’s.” 🥁

Drumming has been a meaningful part of music therapy for one of our patients in Hiawatha. When our music therapist Laura Beth Miller reached out to the The University of Iowa Hawkeye Drumline, they signed a drumhead for him and made him an Honorary Hawkeye Drumline Member.

Thank you to the drumline for taking time out of rehearsal to make him feel so celebrated. It meant so much to him and his wife. 💛
