Let’s talk TEAR TROUGH FILLER… 👀

We get asked about under-eye filler all the time. But in the majority of cases, it’s not our first choice.

When we look at the under-eye area, we don’t just see a “hollow” that needs to be filled. We look at skin quality, laxity, volume loss, and the anatomy of the area to determine what’s actually causing the concern.

Our approach usually starts with improving the skin itself using treatments like lasers and RF microneedling to strengthen, smooth, and improve the quality of that delicate under-eye skin.

Then, if volume support is still needed, we often prefer EZGel, a PRF bio-gel made from your own blood, to create a softer, more regenerative approach to the area.

Why aren’t we quick to reach for traditional tear trough filler?

Because the under-eye area can be unforgiving. Hyaluronic acid filler can sometimes:

* Cause prolonged swelling or puffiness
* Create a bluish appearance known as the Tyndall effect
* Migrate or become visible over time
* Create irregularities or lumps

Does that mean tear trough filler is never appropriate? No. But it does mean we’re very selective about when and how we use it.

Our goal isn’t simply to fill a hollow. It’s to figure out why your under-eyes look the way they do and choose the treatment, or combination of treatments, that will give you the most natural, healthy-looking result.

So our thought process is: Skin health first. Volume second.
