A HUGE thank you to all our spooktacular Costume Contest contestants! 🧡 We had so many amazing costumes that we had multiple age divisions PLUS a group theme division this year! 🎉

From a flying monkey, a little old lady with a walker to a good and bad witch, to characters such as dead pool and the cast of stranger things; everything from adorable to hilarious to downright creative.... one thing is for sure, everyone brought their Halloween A-game! 🧙‍♀️🦸‍♂️

At The Parc Senior Living, we are honored to recognize someone very special in our community, Sharon Dunbar, author of Buried on My Birthday: Breaking Free from a Lifetime of Silent Pain.

Sharon’s powerful memoir shares her true-life journey through the devastating effects of domestic violence. At just two years old, Sharon lost her mother at the hands of her father, and her mother’s funeral was held on her second birthday.

For more than 50 years, Sharon carried the pain, grief, and silence of that tragedy. Through faith, courage, and healing, she found the strength to share her story and inspire others to break free from the burdens of their past.

❤️ What makes Sharon even more special to us? She is a private caregiver for one of our beloved residents at The Parc! Her compassionate heart for caring for others, combined with her courage to turn personal tragedy into a message of hope, is truly inspiring.

Sharon’s book is more than a story of domestic violence and loss. It’s a testament to resilience, forgiveness, finding your voice, and discovering that your past does not have to define your future.
