David Lee “Cowboy” Stahlman, age 76, passed away peacefully after a long illness.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 13 at 10 a.m. at the Rushville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in Cowboy’s name can be made to St. Jude’s Children Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or to the charity of donor’s choice.

Cowboy was born on February 12, 1950, to the late Lee Roy and Dorothy (Schweickhard) Stahlman. He briefly served in the Air Force in 1970. Cowboy worked at the Inn on the Lake in Canandaigua from 2005-2013. He enjoyed country music and cowboy and wild west history. Cowboy liked to spend time with his many friends in Gorham and Canandaigua.

Cowboy is survived by his sister, Brenda Futz Smith; special cousin that shared his love of music, Haley Vanderhoof; cousin and caretaker, Pat (Bill) Whitbeck; as well as many other cousins.

Cowboy was predeceased by his parents.

Rushville- In memory of Roy Stewart Douglas, “Digger” 73 years. Born July 13th, 1952 in Rochester, NY, died June 3rd, 2026 at the Canandaigua VAMC.

Roy was predeceased by his parents, Stephen A. Douglas and Ellen R. Wallace Douglas.

Roy is survived by his step-son, Chris Lyon; siblings, Evie Douglas, Marty Douglas and Wendy (Douglas) Chapman; 3 nieces, 8 nephews and many cousins.

Roy served in the U.S. Navy from 1971- 1975 in Reykjavik, Iceland. He worked as a sou-chef in Boston (1975-1979) and returned to Vine Valley in 1979. His career as a ditch digger spanned from 1980 until 2014. He was surrounded by books which was his passion for his entire life. Roy also created and copyrighted “Word Weave” ‘The Hidden Message Greeting’ Cards.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 22nd, 2026 at the Vine Valley Community House from 1-5 p.m.

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Dana Borglum, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and uncle. Dana, age 90, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, January 18, 2026.

A Celebration of Dana’s life will be held on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m. at the Iris Country Gardens, 2202 Austin Rd., Geneva, NY 14456, please bring your own lawn chairs.

Dana was born on May 14, 1935, at the family home in Penn Yan, to the late Tenus and Gerda Jensen Borglum. He was a graduate of Penn Yan Academy. Dana’s employment history was rich and varied, and most of his life, he held multiple jobs at the same time. His work life began on his family’s farm, then he bought and moved to his own farm in Benton. He also drove truck for Agway, and was an artificial inseminator, working seven days a week. Dana was an award-winning salesman for Harvestore. Following this, he owned and operated the Gorham Grocery Store for several years. Next, he worked for Ontario County Department of Weights and Measures as an inspector. During this time, he began to try his hand at hybridizing iris. He had so many spectacular seedlings, that this led to the opening of Borglum’s Iris Farm in the early 1980’s. His farm grew into a beautiful and stunning display of flower gardens. Out of many thousands of seedlings, Dana registered almost 40 iris, 3 peonies, and 1 daylily. He received the D***s Memorial Medal for his Siberian Iris that he named Lake Keuka, and received the “Best New Variety” in the United States for one of his species crosses. He was a member of the American Iris Association and the American Peony Association. He owned and operated Borglum Iris Gardens on Austin Road for 50 years, retiring from his flower business at age 83. He then drove Mennonites until age 89.

Dana married Norma Jean Wright on June 17th, 1956. After 41 years of a blessed marriage, Norma passed away. Dana then met Sylvia, and they were married for 27 years. Dana is survived by his wife, Sylvia Borglum; his children, Steven (Sherri) Borglum, Karla (Mark) Santoro and Kristina (Donald) Kinney; step-children, Aubrey (Kim) Brumfield, Larry (Torie) Brumfield and Craig (Soraya) Fish; grandchildren, Stefanie, Caley, Jared, Dane, Justin, Rachel, Nathan, Ally, Alicia, Hans, Caleb, Gabriel, Hannah and Seth; 14 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Dana was predeceased by his parents; his first wife, Norma; and his siblings Knud, Ardis, Gregor, Carsten, Gerald and Barty.

Dana will be lovingly remembered for his robust energy, passion, and love for life. These traits were passed on to his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Happy Hearts Workshop at 692 Lovejoy Road, Penn Yan, NY 14527 to help with the construction of the Precious Gems building for special needs Mennonite children.

Canisteo- David L. Bailey, age 57, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026, after a brief illness.

Dave was born on June 9, 1968, a son of the late H. Leo and Maxine I. (Thompson) Bailey. He was a graduate of Canisteo Central School. Over the years Dave worked for Asplundh Tree Service, Davey Tree Service, A.L. Blades and most recently Alfred University. One of his favorite past times was spending time working on the Marlatt Racing Rush Crate Late Model Racecar #99 and race nights in Woodhull.

Dave is survived by his three nephews, David (Sarabeth) Ames, Devin (Dakota) Ames, Daltin (Karen VanFleet) Ames, and loving companion Debbie Rollins; as well as many close friends.

Dave was predeceased by his parents; brother, Gary L. Bailey, Sr.; sister, Gale Bailey; as well as his dog, Waylon.

At Dave’s request, there will be no services.

Canandaigua- Norman Lewis Snyder, Jr., age 67, passed away at home on Thursday, May 21, 2026.

Norm was born on April 6, 1959, a son of the late Norman and Mary (Dettman) Snyder, Sr. He was a hard worker who would give you the shirt off his back. Norm loved to out of the house. In recent years he enjoyed making model cars.

Norm is survived by his children, Corey Wyman, Mike (Saigh) Erb, Mikaela (Michael Kaplan) Snyder, Norman Lewis Snyder, III and Emily Hopper; his sisters, Kathleen (Craig Anthony) Turner and Linda Sandman; as well as nieces and nephews.

Norm was predeceased by his parents and sisters, Christine Lovall and Donna Bloomer.

Zephyrhills, FL/Rushville- George Nelson Cator, age 85, passed away on November 14, 2025 at Pretty Pond Manor in Zephyrhills.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 30, at 11 a.m. at Rushville Cemetery. A celebration of George’s life will follow at 1 p.m. at the Penn Yan Moose Club.

George was born on December 26, 1939, a son of the late Russell and Olive Cator. Over the years George had worked for various companies including Strickland’s in Canandaigua and Finn’s Auto Parts. George was owner operator of his own truck for over 40 years. For a time he ran his own garbage disposal company and served as Highway Superintendent for the Town of Potter. George also volunteered his time as a fire fighter in Crystal Beach.

George and his wife Connie restored many homes during their marriage in the Rushville area. He was currently residing in Zephyrhills, FL where George was known as the “handy man” of Sleepy Hollow Park in his maroon 1951 Ford truck that he restored and drove proudly for almost 40 years. George enjoyed reading John Grisham books. He loved doing odd-jobs and running equipment. George’s real passion was being a truck driver; he covered countless miles from coast to coast and could give you directions from memory.

George will be remembered for his “unfiltered” quips, comments and sense of humor. He had a strong work ethic and was always willing to help others. George always had a hat on his head and chewing on a cigar.

George is survived by his wife Connie Blakesley Cator, whom he married on Oct. 6, 1972, celebrating 53 years of marriage; sons, Allyn Cator, Gregg (Teresa) Cator, Brad (Cindy) Champlin and Brian (Katie) Champlin; brother: Jim (Lucy) Cator; sister: Mary Colf; brothers-in-law: Richard (Connie) Blakesley and Daniel (Marsha) Bardeen; sister-in-law: Nancy Bardeen; 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews & friends.

George was predeceased by his parents; son, Blake Champlin; nephews, Larry “Junior” Colf, and Jim Cator; and a brother-in-law, David Bardeen.

Rushville - Jacqueline A. Stiles, age 67, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 16, 2026 after a 2 year, private battle with cancer.

Jackie was born on October 30, 1958 to the late John and Isabel "Betty" Bath. She was employed by the Marcus Whitman school district for many years as a school bus driver. Jackie enjoyed reading, crafting, tending to her yard and anything Boston Terrier related!

Jackie is survived by her daughter Faith, siblings Barry, Kathy, Mary and Trudy, several nieces and nephews and her cherished 4-legged companion, "Jake".

Canandaigua- John Marshall Fladd, age 99, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 23, at 1 p.m. at the Rushville United Methodist Church. Burial with military honors will follow at Rushville Cemetery.

Memorial contributions in John’s name can be made to Happy Tails, Ontario County Humane Society, 2976 County Rd. 48, Canandaigua, NY 14424; or to, Light Hill Hospice House 5160 Parrish St. Ext., Canandaigua, NY 14424.

John was born on July 23, 1926, a son of the late Walter Herman Fladd and Margaret Elizabeth Jackson Fladd. He honorably served his Country during World War II in the U.S. Army. John served in the European Theater with the 89th Infantry Division. He studied art at RIT for 3 years, resulting in a very talented sculptor, artist with a great ability to write poetry. John enjoyed music especially playing the Ukulele. He was a member of the Rushville United Methodist Church, the Gorham Town Council, he was president of the School Board during the merger and a former member of the Rushville Lions Club.

John owned and operated Fladd Signs for 41 years and an Art Gallery from 1962-1982.

John is survived by his children, Donna (Gary) Horvath of South Carolina, Scott (LiHong) Fladd of Geneva, Robert (Elizabeth) Fladd of Canandaigua, and Dewey (Donna) Fladd of North Carolina; 7 grandchildren, Jason (Stefanie) Horvath, Erica (Wilson) Gonzalez, Daniel Fladd, Jenna Fladd, Gabrielle (Sam) Harris, Noah Fladd and Sarah Fladd; 5 great-grandchildren, Charlotte Horvath, Kai and Sunny Love Harris, and Juniper and Penelope Fladd.

John was predeceased by his parents, his loving wife, Marion Louise Gage Fladd and a grandson, Marshall Fladd.

Jeff was always willing to help anyone in their time of need. He was a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed NASCAR. He loved to spend time with his grandchildren. Jeff was a devoted servant of God.

Jeff is survived by his daughters, Jessica Fritz and Jamie (Joe) McDonough; bonus daughter, Colleen Alexander; grandchildren, Connor (Natalie) McDonough, Caleb McDonough, Madison Mamoone and Mackenzie Mamoone; siblings, Eugene (Sally) Fritz, Jr., Brenda (Jim) Stanton and Dale Fritz; as well as nieces and nephews and many friends at the Happiness House.
