Today at the Elkhart County 4-H Fair Kids Day, our very own Chris Seminario, Director of School Programs and Spanish Services at Ryan’s Place, helped spread awareness about the important work happening at Ryan’s Place by joining Froggy 102.7 for some on-air conversation!

Chris shared how Ryan’s Place supports grieving children, teens, and families throughout our community, providing a safe place for healing, connection, and hope.

We’re grateful for opportunities like these to reach more families who may need support and to remind our community that no child grieves alone. 💙

Thank you to Froggy Radio and the Elkhart County 4-H Fair for helping us share our mission with the community today!

Connection, laughter, teamwork, and memories made. 💙

A heartfelt thank you to Ritch Hochstetler , former CEO of ULEAD, for spending time with our teens during Camp Horizon. Through fun activities, shared experiences, and meaningful conversations, Ritch helped create opportunities for our campers to connect with one another, build trust, and strengthen friendships.

For grieving teens, moments like these matter. They remind us that healing can happen through relationships, laughter, and simply knowing you’re not alone. We are so grateful for Ritch’s willingness to invest in our campers and help make Camp Horizon a place where connection and belonging flourish.

Thank you, Ritch, for helping our teens create memories that will last long after camp ends.

You don’t need a clinical background, just a willingness to listen, support, and make a difference in the lives of grieving children, teens, and families. Our volunteers receive training, ongoing support, and the opportunity to be part of a caring community dedicated to healing hearts.

A Gift from the Heart 💜

When Boyd decided to donate some of his LEGO collection to Ryan’s Place, he wasn’t just giving away toys, he was sharing something he loved so that other children could experience joy, creativity, and connection.

Acts of kindness like this remind us that you are never too young to make a difference. Boyd’s generous gift will provide opportunities for grieving children to build, create, imagine, and heal together.

Thank you, Boyd, for thinking of other kids and giving so selflessly. And thank you to mom, Amanda, for supporting and encouraging such a compassionate heart. Your generosity will touch the lives of many children who walk through our doors.

**if you would like to donate your LEGOS… we would love them 💙

🌟 Community in Action 🌟

We were honored to welcome a group of 17 team members from Lake City Bank to Ryan’s Place for a tour of our Home for Healing Hearts.

It was a privilege to share our mission, programs, and the impact grief support has on children, teens, and families in our community. We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with community partners who are committed to learning more about the important work happening right here in Northern Indiana.

A special thank you to Lake City Bank not only for taking the time to visit and learn more about Ryan’s Place, but also for your continued support of our mission. A special thank you to Amee Yoder Click, LCSW, for sharing her time and expertise with the teens at Ryan’s Place.

Amee created a supportive space for participants to explore how mindfulness and self-regulation can help navigate the grief experience. Through thoughtful discussion and practical tools, our teens gained valuable insights into recognizing emotions, managing stress, and caring for themselves as they move through their grief journey.

We are grateful for community partners like Amee who help equip grieving youth with skills that foster healing, resilience, and hope.

Thank you, Amee, for making a difference in the lives of the teens we serve. ❤️

Investing in learning and growth is an important part of strengthening the support we provide. Our President & CEO, Launa Leftwich, is attending the 2026 International Summer Institute at the Dougy Center this week, connecting with professionals from across North America who share a commitment to serving grieving children and families.

We are grateful for opportunities to learn from leaders in the field, exchange ideas, and bring valuable knowledge back to the children, teens, and families we serve. Together, we continue working toward a future where no child grieves alone. 💙
