GOWANDA
Warren M. Fuller age 86 of Gowanda passed away at home Saturday evening August 1, 2026 surrounded by his loving family following a brief illness.
Warren Fuller was first and foremost a devoted husband to his beloved wife, Christine. Warren married Christine R. (Heath) March 19, 1966 at the Gowanda Free Methodist Church. Together they shared a remarkable 60 years of marriage. Their love and commitment were the foundation of family and an example to everyone who knew them. Faith was always a big part of Warren and Christine’s life and what was instilled not only into their children but grandchildren as well. Warren served on various committees and was a former trustee with their church family of the Gowanda Free Methodist Church.
Warren graduated from Gowanda Central High School, Class of 1957. He proudly served his country in the United States Army, selflessly sacrificing his life with 2 combat tours of duty during the Vietnam War to ensure our freedom, a chapter of his life that reflected his dedication, strength, and sense of duty. Later in life Warren received his Liscenced Practical Nursing degree from Fredonia and worked at the Beachwood Nursing Facility prior to changing his employment and professional direction retiring as a foreman/pressman with the former Great Lakes Color Printing of Dunkirk.
Above all else, Warren was a family man. He was the proud father of five children; Cathy (Gary Moscato) Burrows of Elmira, Ronald Solem Jr. of East Otto, Richard (Paula) Solem of Collins , Rhonda Clareus and Ryan (Monica) Fuller of Hampstead, Md. , a loving grandfather to eight grandchildren; Rene, Austin, Ronald, and Kyle Solem, Amanda Deinzer, Richard Solem Jr., Justin Clareus and Lyndsay McCrea. He was blessed with 13 great-grandchildren who brought him endless joy. Warren is also survived by a sister June (late Preston) Danner of Dayton along with several nieces and nephews . He cherished the time spent with his family which includes whether it was gathering for the holidays, enjoying a summer barbecue, or sitting down to a really good meal. Of course, it had to be a good meal, according to family Grandpa was famously a picky eater, and everyone knew he wasn’t afraid to tell you exactly what he thought about it. More often than not, you could find a Diet Coke nearby, one of his simple favorites. Grandpa also had a passion for the stock market and enjoyed trading and keeping up with the markets. He loved a good conversation, especially when it meant reminiscing, sharing stories, and catching up with the people he loved most. He was known for speaking his mind with honesty and conviction, and those who knew him admired him for always being genuine. The memories made around the dinner table, at family barbecues, and through countless conversations will be treasured forever. Grandpa’s love for his family, his humor, his honesty, and his steadfast presence have left a legacy that will live on through each generation he helped build.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
A Celebration of Warren’s Life will take place on Saturday August 22, 2026 at the Gowanda Free Methodist Church 149 West Main St. Gowanda @ 11:00am (please assemble at church) which will include full military honors with the Rev. Simon Knighten Officiating . The family will be present after 10am to receive friends and to share memories prior to his service. Burial will follow in the Collins Center Cemetery where Warren will be laid to rest next to his daughter Rhonda Clareus who preceded him in death on December 26, 2024.
