5 Challenges to Try This Week

1. The Sunrise Pause Challenge
Before checking your phone each morning, spend 2 minutes noticing your surroundings and taking slow breaths.

2. The Water First Challenge
Drink a full glass of water before your first cup of coffee, tea, or energy drink.

3. The One-Word Intention Challenge
Choose one word each morning (peace, patience, courage, gratitude, steady, present) and revisit it throughout the day.

4. The 5-Minute Movement Challenge
Spend 5 minutes moving your body each morning—stretching, walking, mobility work, yoga, or simply shaking out tension.

5. The Three Good Things Challenge
Before bed, write down three good things that happened during the day, no matter how small. This helps train the brain to notice what’s working rather than only what’s stressful.

Remember: Health isn’t usually built through one big decision. It’s built through hundreds of small choices repeated with intention. What challenge are you choosing today?

When we think about wellness, blood pressure and hormones may seem like separate concerns—but they're actually closely connected. Hormones help regulate everything from stress response and energy levels to sleep, mood, and metabolism. When hormones are out of balance, they can contribute to increased stress on the body, which may impact blood pressure over time.

Supporting healthy blood pressure and hormone balance isn't just about addressing symptoms—it's about helping the body function as it was designed to. Prioritizing quality sleep, managing stress, staying active, nourishing your body, and supporting overall wellness can all play a role in creating a stronger foundation for long-term health.

Small, consistent habits can make a meaningful difference.

Before the day fills up with appointments, chores, livestock checks, sport drop-offs, emails, and responsibilities, take a moment to ask yourself:

“How do I want to show up today?”

Many of us spend our mornings immediately reacting to life. We grab our phones, rush into tasks, and move from one responsibility to the next. But even 60 seconds of intention can change the direction of your day.

An intentional morning doesn’t have to be complicated. It might look like:
✨ Taking three slow breaths before getting out of bed.
✨ Drinking a glass of water before reaching for caffeine.
✨ Stepping outside and noticing the weather.
✨ Choosing one word to guide your day.
✨ Offering yourself the same kindness you’d offer a friend.

You don’t have to control everything that happens today. You only need to choose how you’ll meet it.

Today’s Reflection:
“What is one thing I can do today that supports the person I’m becoming?”

Life is made up of small moments, yet we often overlook them while focusing on what still needs to be done. A warm cup of coffee, sunshine through the window, fresh air, a favorite song, laughter with a friend, or a quiet moment in nature may seem insignificant, but these little experiences can help us feel grounded and connected.

Taking time to notice simple joys doesn't make life's challenges disappear, but it can remind us that good things exist alongside the difficult ones. A

Feeling overwhelmed, distracted, or stuck in your head?

Try this simple grounding exercise the next time you step outside:
Notice 5 things you can see
Notice 4 things you can feel
Notice 3 things you can hear
Notice 2 things you can smell
Notice 1 thing you can taste

This practice helps bring your attention back to the present moment and can be a gentle way to reconnect with yourself when life feels busy.

If you have a few minutes this weekend, give it a try and notice what changes.

What helps one person heal may not help another — and that’s okay.

Mental health care is not meant to look identical for everyone. Some people benefit from therapy, some need movement, some need structure, some need rest, and some simply need a safe space to feel heard without judgment.

Healing can look like:
- creating healthier boundaries
- learning coping tools
- reconnecting with your body
- improving daily routines
- processing past experiences
- building self-trust again

There is no “perfect” way to heal. The goal is finding support that meets you where you are.

Not every emotion is a problem to solve.

Sometimes sadness needs space.
Sometimes anxiety needs understanding.
Sometimes anger is pointing toward a boundary that matters.

We often pressure ourselves to “get over it” quickly, but emotional wellness is not about never struggling — it’s about learning how to listen to ourselves with curiosity instead of judgment.

A few gentle reminders:
- Your feelings are valid, even when they’re uncomfortable.
- You do not have to earn rest, care, or support.
- Healing is rarely linear.
- Small steps still count.

You are human, not a machine.

Today we pause to remember and honor those who gave their lives in service.

Memorial Day can mean different things for different people —
for some, it’s a day of reflection…
for others, it’s personal.

However you spend today, we invite you to take a moment to slow down and remember.

And as you do, don’t forget to care for yourself too —
rest, breathe, and be present.

Thinking of those who are remembering and grieving today.
