A friendly tail reminder. A series.
🌟 if your horses tail is braided (photo 1), said horse should never go into its stall without the braid wrapped properly (photo 2). They will take advantage of the few minutes alone to sit on a water bucket or rub on the wall. Not good!
🌟 if your horses tail is braided and has a fake tail, the tail needs to be loosely braided at the bottom or put up onto the dock of the tail (photos 3 and 4). When your horse lays down, there is a risk of them stepping on the fake and pulling it out.
🌟 the only time a horses tail should be completely unwrapped and unprotected is when it is at the ring showing. When you arrive in the morning, this horses tail (and mane) is 100% your responsibility to care for. I will not come back to the show at 1pm because your horse rubbed or stepped on its tail and ripped it out.
🏆 tails and fakes should be clean and combed out. Do not put a gross filthy fake tail back in its bag until the next show. You are spending a lot of money to be at a show, let’s show some respect for our four legged animals and have them looking their best 🫶🏼
