💙🧡 Apparently, the Gatorade was SO excited to get to our local first responders that it could barely keep itself contained! 😂💦

The packaging may not have survived the trip, but thankfully the Gatorade did!

Today, we’re dropping off some Gatorade and water for the Granbury Volunteer Fire Department as a small way of saying THANK YOU. 🚒❤️

With the Texas heat in full swing, we hope a little extra hydration comes in handy! ☀️💧

We’re grateful for the men and women who show up for our community when we need them most. This includes the many times you’re called to help our seniors and their families.

Today we join in honoring Juneteenth, a day of freedom, reflection, and progress. At Comfort Keepers, we recognize the importance of dignity, respect, and care for all.

❤️ Today marks a defining moment in our nation’s history.

Juneteenth began in Texas on June 19, 1865, when Union troops arrived in Galveston and informed enslaved African Americans of their freedom, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.

Today, we honor those who endured the hardships of slavery, celebrate the significance of freedom, and reflect on the enduring promise that liberty is a right for all.

As we reflect on this important day, we honor the enduring values of freedom, opportunity, and community that continue to bring people together.

✨ May we continue to learn, grow, and move forward together while honoring the past and its lasting significance.

Community Liaison days don’t always look the same. Yesterday include networking, learning, and a conversation with U.S. Congressman Roger Williams.

Community Liaison and Certified Senior Advisor Taylor Mooney attended the Granbury Chamber’s Leaders in Government event, where Congressman Williams shared updates on federal initiatives, his work supporting small businesses, and his appreciation for the opportunities we enjoy as Texans and Americans.

Following the presentation, Taylor had the opportunity to briefly visit with Congressman Williams about the work Comfort Keepers does to help older adults remain safe, independent, and engaged in their own homes. During their conversation, he shared that his family utilized home care services for his wife during her later years, giving him a personal understanding of the support and peace of mind quality home care can provide.

With more than one in four Hood County residents age 65 or older, conversations about aging, caregiving, food security, healthcare, and helping seniors remain independent are important to the future of our community.

Comfort Keepers is proud to have a seat at the table and to advocate for the needs of older adults and their families throughout Hood County.
