🔅This week on the strike line🔅

🧡A group of us striking nurses went to represent our cause at the American Heart Association Heart Walk❣️
🧡A couple awesome signs made an appearance 🪧
🧡Another amazing and accurate article was written by Luis Martinez and Cameron Harrison about our strike (link is below)✍️
🧡Andrea LeGendre, who is running for probate court judge, dropped us off some doughnuts 🍩
🧡Salad was donated for dinner one night🥗
🧡John and his daughter brought us water and some Trek bars from Great Harvest Bread Co.🚰
🧡Mike brought us produce, he has done this MANY times throughout our strike🥕🍅🥔🫑
🧡The rain held off for our Solidarity Walk and it was an amazing turnout ✊🏻✊🏿

Also, a friend of Henry Ford Health was seen supporting another union on strike, turns out the location does seem to be the problem.... whatever fits their agenda.

Thank you everyone for your continued support!

Safe staffing isn't just a nurse issue—it's a patient safety issue.

When hospitals don't have enough nurses at the bedside, patients wait longer for medications, assessments, treatments, and critical interventions. Nurses are forced to care for more patients than is safe, increasing the risk of missed changes in a patient's condition, medical errors, and poorer outcomes.

Every patient deserves a nurse who has the time to listen, assess, educate, advocate, and provide the quality care they need. Every nurse deserves the ability to do their job safely and effectively without being stretched beyond their limits.

Safe staffing means:
🩺 Faster response times
🩺 Better patient outcomes
🩺 Fewer medical errors
🩺 Reduced nurse burnout and turnover
🩺 Stronger healthcare teams
🩺 Safer communities

For over nine months, Teamsters 332 nurses have stood together advocating for safe staffing because we know what happens when healthcare systems prioritize profits over patients. We aren't fighting for less work—we're fighting for the resources needed to provide the safe, compassionate care our patients deserve.

Safe staffing saves lives. It protects patients. It supports nurses. And it strengthens healthcare for everyone.

Because at the end of the day, every patient is someone's loved one.

From Jennifer Kay Sherman, one of our amazing nurses on the strike line:

I made this video and it came from the heart ❤️ We need to end this strike it’s time. This strike isn’t about politics, democrats vs republicans or unions. It’s about me at the bedside of my patient. Period. We can all collectively agree that having a nurse care for your family that has the time they need to give great care is paramount. Yes, this is STILL a ULP strike and we DO deserve our legally protected positions back. Not “A” position not half of us but ALL of us. We are almost the second longest nursing strike in the NATION ever. We are setting a record here in Grand Blanc and not a good one. Henry Ford make amends with the NURSES outside and let’s move on. Let’s make this hospital all we know it can be. The decisions you make today affect your business for many years. Genesee County is ready for this to end. We pray you make the right decision. 🙏 God Bless❤️

Save the date!
June 10th - starting at 6PM
Meet at Teamsters main tent in Grand Blanc on Holly Rd and we will walk down Po***ck Rd towards the hospital, and along Holly Rd.
Parking is available along Po***ck Rd. And at the Professional Village parking lot.
Rain or shine!!! Let’s do this!!! Please reach out with any questions!

To the elected officials, candidates, community leaders, and public servants who have taken the time to stand with us on the strike line: thank you.

Your presence matters. Every visit, conversation, handshake, and show of support reminds us that our fight for fair treatment, safe staffing, and quality patient care is being seen and heard beyond the picket line. We appreciate those who have publicly stated their support for working people, organized labor, nurses, and the communities we serve. Standing with us during difficult times takes courage, and we do not take that support for granted.

As many of you continue your journeys in public service and pursue higher offices and leadership roles, we ask one thing: when you get where you're going, don't forget the people, organizations, and movements you said you supported along the way. Remember the workers who stood in the heat, rain, snow, and uncertainty, fighting for what they believed was right.

Remember that support means the most when it continues after the cameras are gone and the elections are over. As nurses on strike, our priority is getting back to work and to our patients. What we are on strike for is NOT A RED VS BLUE ISSUE. Safe healthcare is something that should matter to everyone, and all support is appreciated.

We will continue standing up for our patients, our profession, and our community. We hope those who stood with us will continue standing with us when it matters most.

Thank you for your support, your time, and your commitment to the people you serve.

Nothing productive came from yesterday's negotiation meeting (June 4th) with Henry Ford Genesys. The next bargaining date offered by the employer is June 26th. If that alone doesn't demonstrate that their priority is not reaching a fair agreement, but instead dragging this strike out as long as possible in an attempt to break our union, it's hard to imagine what would.

Teamsters 332 has previously stated their schedule remains open to any and all dates possible for negotiations that Henry Ford Genesys will agree too. But don't worry, Henry Ford Genesys can still check the box and tell the public and the NLRB that negotiations are ongoing.

Meanwhile, another three weeks go by....and their Union Busting Lawyer Grant Pecor lines his pockets.
