đź’ś IS YOUR FASCIA CONNECTED TO YOUR ENERGY?
Fascia is much more than the “wrapping” around muscles.
It is a living, hydrated, highly innervated connective-tissue network extending throughout your entire body.
And this is where things get fascinating.
⚡ FASCIA HAS PIEZOELECTRIC PROPERTIES
Collagen can generate tiny electrical potentials when mechanically deformed. Mechanical forces can also influence cellular behavior through mechanotransduction.
🧠FASCIA IS HIGHLY SENSORY
Fascial tissues contain abundant sensory nerve endings, constantly communicating information about tension, pressure, movement, pain and body position to your nervous system.
đź’§ FASCIA IS HIGHLY HYDRATED
Water, collagen, proteoglycans and other components of the extracellular matrix create an interconnected environment throughout the body.
So does this prove fascia is connected to chakras, the aura or a human energy field?
No. Science has not established that connection.
But this is where my experience as a therapist becomes interesting.
During John F. Barnes Myofascial Release, clients sometimes experience:
✨ Warmth or tingling
✨ Spontaneous movement
✨ Deep relaxation
✨ Emotional release
✨ A sensation of energy moving
✨ Feeling lighter or more grounded
✨ Feeling more connected to themselves
Does piezoelectricity prove these experiences are energetic?
No.
But I also don’t believe we need to dismiss an experience simply because science can’t fully explain it yet.
đź’ś I TREAT THE WHOLE PERSON.
The physical body.
The fascial system.
The nervous system.
The emotional experience.
And yes—the energetic experience.
I can respect what science has established while remaining curious about what we have yet to understand.
That is part of what I love about John F. Barnes Myofascial Release.
We listen.
We feel.
We follow.
We give the body time to respond. đź’ś Rowena Cua đź’ś Expert JFB Myofascial Release Therapist Trauma Informed Healing www.bodymfr.co
