Today is World Environment Day, a reminder that caring for the earth and caring for ourselves are deeply connected.

Here in Grand Forks, we are surrounded by quiet invitations to slow down: open sky, river paths, trees moving in the wind, and land that changes with each season.

Nature does not erase stress, but it can remind the body that relief is possible.

Spending time outside can support the nervous system by giving the body something steady to connect with: a breath of fresh air, the feeling of your feet on the ground, or the sound of the world continuing around you.

Step outside today and let the land around you meet you where you are.

Self-care isn’t one-size-fits-all, it’s more like a choose-your-own-adventure!

Maybe your formula today is:

Reading + Yoga + Music + A Bath

or

Baking + Walking the Dog + Netflix + Time with Friends

Whatever it looks like, the goal is not to do it perfectly. The goal is to choose something that helps you feel a little more cared for.

Build your self-care formula and tell us: what’s in yours today?

Taking time to understand yourself is one of the most important ways you can care for your well-being.

Self-understanding can help you recognize what you’re feeling, understand what you need, identify stressors, cope in healthier ways, and know when it may be time to ask for support.

Mental and physical health are far more connected than most people realize.

Stress, anxiety, trauma, burnout, and depression can affect sleep, energy levels, the immune system, chronic pain, and overall wellbeing.

Throughout Mental Health Awareness Month, we’ll be sharing more about the mind-body connection and why caring for mental health is real healthcare.

Mother’s Day can bring up a lot more than people talk about.

For some moms, it feels joyful and full.
For others, it feels exhausting, emotional, lonely, overwhelming, or bittersweet.
Sometimes it’s all of those things at once.

We wanted to create these messages for the moms who are carrying a lot right now.

The moms trying their best while feeling completely drained.
The moms healing parts of themselves while raising children.
The moms who feel guilty for needing rest.
The moms holding everything together behind the scenes.
The moms wondering if they’re doing enough.

This Mother’s Day, we hope these words make you feel a little more seen, understood, and supported.

You deserve care too 💛

Save this for later or send it to a mom who may need it today.

So many parents struggle with postpartum mental health without realizing what they’re experiencing has a name.

This Maternal Mental Health Awareness Week, it’s important to remember that postpartum anxiety and depression don’t always look obvious.

They can show up as racing thoughts, irritability, emotional numbness, intrusive thoughts, or feeling like you’re barely holding it together, even when everyone else thinks you seem “fine.”

More parents deserve to know that struggling after having a baby is common, valid, and something they shouldn’t have to navigate alone.
