🎉 Valley Fest 2026 was one for the books! 🎉
Last night, our Valley on 42nd community came together for our biggest event of the year — Valley Fest! ❤️

Residents, families, friends, and care partners all gathered for an evening full of fun, laughter, and memories. Each neighborhood hosted its own snack and game booth, and here at Wheatland Terrace, we were poppin’ with 🍿 fresh popcorn and a fun Pick-a-Pop game where everyone could test their luck!

The evening also included a petting zoo, bouncy house, food truck, music and dancing with DJ Dance Man Dan, a watermelon-eating contest, and a special visit from the fire department with their fire engine and “target house” — giving guests a chance to try out the fire hoses! 🚒

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make Valley Fest such a fun and memorable night! We’re already looking forward to next year! 💕🎉

🎈🏐 Fun was in the air! Residents enjoyed a friendly game of balloon volleyball filled with laughter and a little competition!

Before you know it... you're soaring in a hot air balloon or exploring the other side of the world! 🌎🎈 Residents experienced virtual reality for the very first time, and the smiles said it all. From breathtaking destinations across the globe to unforgettable adventures high above the clouds.

Our residents had a great afternoon creating fused glass gnomes with Bill Vasicek and the volunteers from Arts for Vets! 🎨 Residents designed their own colorful gnomes, and Bill will kiln-fire them before returning them as magnets. Thank you to Bill and the Arts for Vets volunteers for a fun and creative afternoon! ❤️

🍉 Summer Watermelon Social ☀️
Our residents cooled off with fresh-cut watermelon, refreshing watermelon mocktails mixed by our amazing staff, and a soundtrack of favorite summer hits from the '50s and '60s. It was the perfect recipe for a relaxing summer afternoon shared with good friends. 🍹🎶

🍊🎨 Nothing says summer like citrus! Our residents had a great time using real lemons and oranges to create colorful tote bag prints.☀️👜

We beat the heat today by heading outside early to enjoy the beautiful morning weather! ☀️🌼 Some of our residents chose to relax and soak in the fresh air, while others got their hands dirty with a little gardening. It's amazing how a peaceful morning outdoors can brighten everyone's day.

🎳 Bowling fun today! Residents had a great time enjoying tabletop bowling, sharing laughs, and cheering each other on. Smiles all around! ❤️
