The doctors will begin with a thorough examination and will assess your areas of concern, as well as carefully consider your health history. After an initial examination a course of treatment will be recommended. Based upon that analysis, treatment could consist of chiropractic adjustments, acupuncture, therapies and rehabilitation exercises. Plains Chiropractic & Acupuncture is conveniently located in Grand Forks, near Interstate 29. Our office is near Menards on 32nd Avenue South, across the street from Target and Lowes. For many people, the two go hand in hand. And research shows that’s probably no coincidence. A review of 20 research studies, involving more than 200,000 adults, showed robust evidence of an association between sleep-related problems and chronic musculoskeletal (MSK) pain. In fact, the study found them to be “bidirectionally associated,” meaning they appear to feed into one another.

Getting ready to tackle your garden plans or conquer a big home reno project? Before you become one with the shovel or the paint roller, remember, your body is your most important tool!

Just like you wouldn't run a marathon cold, don't jump into heavy lifting, repetitive motions, or awkward positions without a little prep. A quick warm-up and some dynamic stretches can be the difference between feeling accomplished and feeling sore and stiff.

Pro Tip: Think about the movements you'll be doing. Will you be bending, reaching, lifting? Warm up those muscles and joints to prevent strains and sprains. Your spine will thank you!
