Today was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do.

Legacy Funeral Home was deeply honored to provide our homeless veteran with the highest level of military honors that every honorably discharged veteran deserves.

No veteran should leave this world forgotten. No veteran should be laid to rest without dignity, respect, and gratitude for their service.

Today, our community came together to make sure he was honored properly โ€” not as a homeless man, but as a United States veteran who served his country.

To everyone who donated, shared, supported, attended, and helped make this possible: thank you. Your compassion gave this veteran the farewell he deserved.

It was our privilege to serve him.
It was our honor to stand for him.
And it is our commitment to continue doing this work for veterans in need.

At Legacy Funeral Home and Hubbard & Sons, every family entrusted to our care is treated with dignity, transparency, and respect.

Our focus on professionalism has led us to hold ourselves above the minimum state standard. Every member of our team is fully licensed, properly trained, and committed to serving families with the highest level of care.

Like many funeral homes across the country, certain services may be performed through trusted professional partnerships and licensed facilities that meet all state and federal standards. What never changes is our personal care, oversight, communication, and commitment to the families we serve here in Western Colorado.

Families deserve honesty, compassion, and professionalism โ€” not fear-based advertising.

For us, funeral service has always been about caring for people, guiding families through difficult moments, and honoring every life with integrity.

Recently, we were deeply honored to join members of the Navajo Nation in a traditional Navajo burial.

As funeral professionals, moments like this remind us that every culture carries sacred ways of honoring life, death, family, and the journey beyond this life. In many traditional Navajo burials, personal belongings may be placed with the decedent โ€” items connected to their life, identity, work, or daily needs. These customs are rooted in deep respect and are handled with care by the family and community.

We were humbled to witness the love, tradition, and reverence shown today. It is a privilege to serve families from many backgrounds, and we are grateful anytime we are trusted to help honor someone according to their faith, heritage, and family customs.

Our deepest condolences to the family, and our sincere gratitude for allowing us to stand beside you during such a sacred time.

Today, Kyle McCormick represented Legacy Funeral Home at the Catholic Memorial Day service at Orchard Mesa Cemetery.
This was a meaningful service honoring the brave men and women who gave so much for our country. For Kyle, it was also a special opportunity to embrace his Catholic faith while standing in remembrance and solidarity with our community.
At Legacy Funeral Home, we are grateful for every moment that allows us to honor veterans, support families, and remember the sacrifices that should never be forgotten.
May we always pause, remember, and give thanks. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Today, Legacy Funeral Home had the honor of attending the Memorial Day services at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado in Grand Junction.

Jerry Hubbard and Christina Miller were present as our community gathered to remember the brave men and women who gave so much in service to our country.

For Jerry, this day carries an even deeper meaning. As a veteran himself, standing among the memorials and hearing the messages of remembrance hits differently. It is not just about history โ€” it is about brothers and sisters in service, sacrifice, duty, and the freedoms we still hold today.

We are grateful for every veteran, every family, and every life remembered today.

May we never forget the cost of freedom. ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ

Some names are etched in stone.
Their sacrifice is etched in our hearts.

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

Behind every name is a story.
A family.
A future that was given in sacrifice for others.

Today, we honor those heroes โ€” not only for how they died, but for how they lived, loved, and served.

From all of us at Legacy Funeral Home, may we never forget.

Some veterans leave behind medals, stories, and family.
Others leave this world with no one at all.

We are trying to give this veteran the dignity, honor, and burial he earned through his service to our country.

No veteran should be forgotten.

Even a small donation helps provide a respectful farewell and military honors.

There are moments in this calling that remind us why Legacy Funeral Home is so much more than a business to our family.

This is Kailani Hubbard, daughter of the Hubbard family, after the loss of her great grandmother. In her own tender way, she wanted to be close โ€” to love, to say goodbye, and to feel connected one more time.

At Legacy Funeral Home, we donโ€™t just understand grief professionally. We understand it personally. We know what it feels like to walk through loss as a family, to honor someone deeply loved, and to hold space for both the tears and the sacred moments in between.

Our promise has always been simple: to care for every family the way we would want our own family cared for.

Because behind every service is a story.
Behind every goodbye is a lifetime of love.
And behind Legacy Funeral Home is a family who truly understands.

With love,
The Hubbard Family
