Are you energized by summer, or completely exhausted by it?
Summer brings so much fiery energy. Longer days, more activities, more plans, more time outside.
But all fires need tending.
This week at Grand Lake yoga, we’re exploring what it means to cool the fire. Cooling the fire is about finding balance between doing and being.
It doesn't mean losing your motivation or slowing down completely. It means noticing when your body and mind need a little more care.
On your mat, this might look like:
Moving a little slower
Letting your breath guide your movement
Choosing grounding poses instead of pushing for more
Off your mat, it might look like:
Pausing before responding
Taking a quiet moment before moving to the next task
Giving yourself permission to rest
Try this today: Take three slow breaths and notice where you are holding tension.
Instead of trying to fix it, simply soften around it.
What helps you cool your own inner fire?
