The Flow State: Craniosacral Therapy (CST)
A gentle, deeply relaxing experience designed to help you slow down, reconnect with your body, and settle into a state of deep relaxation. This modality was developed by Dr John E, Upledger, D.O, O.M.M. There is a training institute by the same name! I received my training at my massage school, the Natuopathic Institute of Therapies and Education in Mt Pleasant, MI.
Craniosacral therapy is a subtle, hands-on technique using light touch to encourage relaxation and support the body's natural ability to settle and restore balance.
I like to describe us as the road (your body) has blockages and traffic jams and CST helps release those.
During your session (you will remain dressed),gentle contact will be used around areas such as the head, neck, spine, and sacrum. The pace is slow and calming, creating space to quiet the mind, release everyday tension, and simply allow yourself to rest.
This modality may be a good fit for individuals experiencing:
Depression and anxiety
Headaches
Injury recovery
Nervous system challenges
And more!
