Happy Summer Solstice everyone!

Did you know that if you take a picture of the Sun during the same time of day and from the same spot every week you can see a figure 8 or infinity symbol? This is called the solar "Analemma". Even though it is only visible through careful photography I like to think that this symbol is implicitly present at every moment and position of the Sun in our sky. May we cherish the present moment that extends to infinity.

New Year's question for the North Shore community:

Should Artemisia Acupuncture & Apothecary start stocking loose leaf tea?

We've stopped drinking coffee this last year and have noticed that it's almost impossible to find decent loose leaf tea up on the North Shore. Comment below if you would like us to carry a small curated selection of teas and let us know your favorite type(s) of tea!

Happy 2026 Everyone! It's a new Solar year and a great time for new beginnings. After today the Sunrise gets a little earlier each day until just before the Summer Solstice. It's a good time to let go of habits and routines that no longer serve you and begin something new that invigorates you body and spirit. But start slow and easy as we're actually at the most Yin time of year and it can be draining to change too much too quickly right now. The energy of the New Year actually comes in at Lunar New Year, this year being February 17th. But 2026 is the year of the Fire Horse, so there will be no dearth of energy for progress and change once we get to early Springtime. So enjoy the quite and wise contemplation of the Wood Snake before 2026 really swings into motion! Happy New Year Everyone!
