We're excited to share the refreshed lobby and atrium at Greenhouse Treatment Center!

This project took several weeks to complete, with our team carefully planning every step to minimize disruption and maintain a safe environment for residents and visitors. Even more special, many of the design choices were inspired by our residents, the people who know our facility best.

As we updated the atrium, several patients asked, "Where's the green? You have to have some green. Your name is Greenhouse!" So we listened. The rich green accents throughout the space were intentionally chosen to reflect their feedback and create an environment that feels welcoming, calming, and true to who we are.

The best part? Hearing comments like:
๐Ÿ’š โ€œThe colors make me feel good.โ€
๐Ÿ’š โ€œIt looks elegant.โ€
๐Ÿ’š โ€œEverything just feels brighter and happier.โ€

At Greenhouse, we believe healing happens in an environment where people feel safe, supported, and cared for, and we're proud to continue creating spaces that reflect that commitment.

This PTSD Awareness Month, we're reminded that healing looks different for everyone.

For Veterans and others living with PTSD, recovery often begins with feeling safe.

In this video, Deke, a Veteran who received treatment at Greenhouse Treatment Center, shares why having a private room made such a meaningful difference in his experience. As an amputee living with PTSD, the vulnerability of sleeping around others and removing his prosthetic created challenges that many people may never have to consider.

When our team learned about his concerns, we listened. We took the time to understand his unique situation and worked to create an environment where he could feel secure, supported, and focused on healing.

PTSD can affect how people experience safety, trust, sleep, relationships, and everyday life. That's why trauma-informed care matters.

Effective treatment isn't one-size-fits-all.
We meet people where they are and provide the support they need to heal.

Thank you, Deke, for sharing your story. ๐Ÿ’š

Everyone deserves access to compassionate, evidence-based care.

Yet Black individuals continue to face disparities in diagnosis, treatment access, and harm reduction services, barriers that can have serious consequences for health and recovery outcomes.

In a recent interview with BlackDoctor, Dr. Bih Bikelle, Associate Medical Director at Greenhouse Treatment Center, discusses the importance of recognizing systemic bias in healthcare and why standardized screening and assessment practices can help ensure patients receive the care they need based on their symptoms and experiences, not assumptions.

Creating more equitable care starts with awareness, but it doesn't end there.

We've said it before, but it's worth repeating: Recovery doesn't end when treatment does! It's a daily commitment, and we're here for it!

One of the most important parts of long-term recovery is staying connected to people who understand what you're going through.

That's why we're inviting our alumni communityโ€”and anyone in recovery or supporting someone who isโ€”to join us today for AAC Thrive, our monthly discussion focused on recovery, connection, and mutual support.

Tonight's discussion will be hosted by Melina, Alumni Coordinator at Recovery First. Come and share experiences, celebrate progress, navigate challenges, and connect with others who are walking a similar path.

Millions of men struggle with anxiety, depression, loneliness, trauma, and substance use.

Less than half ask for help.

Not because they don't need support.
Because many have been taught to stay quiet, push through, and carry it alone.

This Men's Health Month, check in on the men in your life.
Your father.
Your brother.
Your husband.
Your son.
Your uncle.
Your friend who always says he's "fine."

And if you're struggling yourself, check in with you, too.

You do not have to carry everything alone.

It's not weak to say you're not okay.

Sometimes the strongest thing a person can do is ask for help. ๐Ÿ’š

Today, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of the Allied service members who participated in D-Day on June 6, 1944.

Many knew the risks they faced, yet moved forward anyway, driven by a commitment to something greater than themselves.

As a treatment provider, we also recognize that military service can leave lasting impacts long after a battle ends. For many Veterans and service members, the effects of trauma, stress, mental health challenges, and substance use can continue for years.

Today, we honor those who served on D-Day, those who never came home, and the Veterans who carry the legacy of that generation forward.

Their courage changed history, and their sacrifices will never be forgotten.

Everyone deserves access to compassionate, respectful, and affirming care.

At Greenhouse Treatment Center, we are committed to creating spaces where people feel seen, supported, and empowered on their recovery journey exactly as they are.

Because recovery is for everyone, and everyone deserves the opportunity to heal. ๐Ÿ’š

Walking through the doors of treatment can be one of the hardest moments of someone's life.

Many people arrive exhausted.
Scared.
Sick.
Unsure of what comes next.

That's why first impressions matter.

At Greenhouse Treatment Center, Executive Director Brad Westfall makes a point to meet with every resident within their first 24 hours. It's a simple gesture, but for someone taking a life-changing step toward recovery, knowing they're seen, heard, and cared for can make all the difference.

In this video, one resident, "Deke," shares what that experience was like for him and how the team worked to accommodate his individual needs from the moment he arrived.

Recovery begins with hope.

And hope starts with knowing you truly matter! ๐Ÿ’š

Being the "strong, silent type" has long been viewed as a positive trait.

But when it comes to mental health, silence can be dangerous.

Many men grow up believing they should handle stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and emotional pain on their own. As a result, too many struggle in silence long before anyone realizes they're hurting.

The consequences can be devastating.

Men die by su***de at significantly higher rates than women, making it clear that we need to rethink what strength really looks like.

This , let's encourage the men in our lives to talk about what they're carrying, ask for help when they need it, and know that seeking support is not a sign of weakness.
It's a sign of courage!

๐Ÿ’š If you're struggling, reach out. You do not have to carry it alone.

June is here, and we want to celebrate with you. ๐Ÿ’š

Whether youโ€™re celebrating 24 hours, 30 days, 1 year, or many years in recovery, your milestone matters.

Recovery deserves to be celebrated loudly. ๐ŸŽ‰

If you have a sobriety milestone this month, share it in the comments so we can cheer you on!
