You ever go to a ribbon cutting thinking you're just there to support a new business... and leave reminded why you love your community?
That was today at the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting for Bojangles.
There was a lot to celebrate. Community leaders, ambassadors, first responders, and local supporters all coming together to welcome a new business to Grand Prairie. Those moments matter because they remind us that our city keeps growing when people invest in it and show up for one another.
Now, I have to tell you about my lunch. I ordered the chicken sandwich with the B.L.T. mac and cheese and kept it simple with a water. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and worth the trip. Then, as if the day wasn't already good enough, my name was called for a $50 gift card.
But here's what stuck with me most.
It wasn't the food.
It was the people.
Alex, Stuart, Jennifer, Kathy, and the entire Bojangles team created the kind of atmosphere you notice the moment you walk through the door. Friendly faces. Genuine hospitality. A crew that clearly takes pride in serving their customers and representing their brand well.
Getting to be part of the ribbon cutting was a privilege, and seeing the excitement around this new location made it even more special.
So here's my takeaway: Great businesses don't just serve food. They create experiences that make people want to come back.
If you haven't stopped by Bojangles yet, you're missing out on what may become Grand Prairie's newest favorite spot. And after you're done, walk across the street to Andy's Frozen Custard and thank me later.
Have you tried Bojangles yet? What's your go-to order?
