the answer is: C: Making homemade kombucha

I recently listened to a health podcast that talked about the gut benefits of drinking kombucha, and I’ve been trying to figure out how to make my own ever since. I don’t have it down yet, but this new hobby might replace my sourdough obsession. We’ll see!

Bladder incontinence can be uncomfortable, embarrassing, and affect your quality of life. But for many women, solutions are available, some include surgery and some do not. If you’re suffering from a leaking bladder, let’s talk about it and see if we can find a solution to help you feel like yourself again. But did you really see ME? Or was it someone else? 😂

Trying to get more Google Reviews, and I’d really appreciate it if you took a minute to leave me a review (5 star reviews are my favorite, but maybe I’m biased?) Copy the link below into your browser to leave me a review:

After my wife had a necessary hysterectomy (she kept her ovaries) at age 31, I watched her health and quality of life rapidly decline.  She was always exhausted—no amount of sleep alleviated her exhaustion.  She had constant joint pain.  Brain fog.  She just wasn’t herself anymore, and it was so hard to watch and see her struggle.

After several years and attempts at a wide variety of treatments, through a process of elimination we eventually realized that her hysterectomy had thrown her into a perimenopausal state, which at the time was surprising to me since she had NOT had her ovaries removed.  I have since learned how common this experience is after a hysterectomy. She finally began menopausal hormone replacement therapy and amazingly within one week she started to feel better, and within months, she was a completely new person.  Neither one of us realized how bad things truly were, until we saw the stark contrast between my wife living her best life in her middle 30’s on menopausal hormones compared to the shell of a person she was for those years after her hysterectomy.  It was such a powerful experience witnessing my wife’s experience at home that it completely shifted my “doctor perspective.” I was driven to do a deep dive into menopausal hormones and treatment so that I could better understand this phase of life and treat my patients who might be suffering in a similar fashion to my wife.

I get this question a lot, and healing varries for each person. If you are needing a hysterectomy, we can talk about recovery as we plan your surgery, and I’m happy to answer your questions so you can feel more comfortable about what to expect.

It was Hells Bells by ACDC! It kept me awake on the late walks back to my apartment! I’m trying to convince my kids that this is a cool song, but I haven’t succeeded yet. There’s still time!
