✨Healing your nervous system doesn’t always look like some huge breakthrough.✨

Sometimes the signs are really subtle:

🌱You pause before reacting.
🌱You recover faster after getting triggered.
🌱You stop feeling like everything is an emergency.
🌱You can rest without feeling as guilty.
🌱You set a boundary without overexplaining it.
🌱You notice your body feels softer and less tense.
🌱You don’t spiral over things the way you used to.
🌱You start trusting yourself again.

A lot of healing happens quietly.

And sometimes you don’t realize how far you’ve come until you notice you’re responding to life differently. ❤️

✨EMDR can keep working long after the session ends. 🧠✨

Sometimes the biggest shifts happen in the hours or days afterward with new emotions, memories, dreams, body sensations, or a sense that something is finally starting to feel different.

That’s why the check-in matters. Healing doesn’t only happen inside the therapy room. ❤️

Our Soma Yoga Therapy Workshop Series is back!!! Hilary will be hosting our monthly trauma-informed yoga workshops. We are excited to partner together again! 🙌🏻❤️

✨Sometimes healing needs more than words.✨

Our Emotional Release Through Movement workshop series creates space to explore where emotions live in the body and how intentional movement can support release.

Through somatic practices, yoga postures, reflection, and meaningful conversation, you’ll be invited to slow down, notice what your body is holding, and move through it with curiosity and compassion.

Each workshop ends with a Reiki-infused savasana to help you settle, integrate, and restore.

Beginning in October | 90 minutes | $40

✨I think one of the most important things a therapist can bring into the room is not perfection.✨

It’s humility.

It’s knowing what it feels like to wrestle with your own patterns, question yourself, grieve what you thought your life would look like, and keep choosing growth anyway.

I’ve learned that healing is rarely a straight line.

Sometimes you know better before you can do better.

Sometimes your body says “no” long before your mind is ready to listen.

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t understanding what happened to you.

It’s learning to trust yourself again. ❤️

That’s a big part of how we approach therapy at Holistic.

🌱Less judgment.
🌱More curiosity.
🌱More compassion for why your nervous system learned what it learned.

And a lot more space to become who you actually are.

What part of this hit you the most? ⬇️⬇️⬇️

✨Suicidal thoughts often exist within a much bigger story.✨

For trauma survivors, years of hypervigilance, shame, isolation, emotional pain, and nervous system overwhelm can create a profound sense of hopelessness.

We cannot shame people into wanting to live.

We help by creating safety. By believing their pain. By reducing isolation. By helping them find choices where their nervous system currently sees none.

And sometimes prevention looks much earlier than a crisis, it looks like helping someone build a life where they feel connected, supported, valued, and able to imagine a future again.

Please check on your people. And if you’re the one struggling, you do not have to wait until you are at your breaking point to ask for help. ❤️

✨Some of the hardest healing happens quietly.✨

It’s choosing different patterns when the old ones feel familiar. Setting boundaries even when guilt shows up. Learning to trust yourself again. Sitting with feelings you used to survive by avoiding.

From the outside, it may look like nothing is happening. But inside, you’re rebuilding an entire way of being.

Keep going. The work no one sees still counts. ❤️

✨One of the most frustrating parts of healing is being able to explain yourself perfectly…and still finding yourself in the same reaction.✨

🌱You know why you shut down.
🌱You know why you overfunction.
🌱You know why certain relationships activate you.
🌱You know what your therapist would probably say.

And yet your body responds before your insight has a chance to catch up.

That doesn’t mean insight is useless. It means insight is one part of the work.

Trauma treatment often needs to move beyond understanding and into experience, helping the nervous system encounter safety, boundaries, connection, emotion, and choice differently than it has before.

This is why we integrate approaches that work with more than thoughts alone.

Healing isn’t just learning why you became this version of yourself.

It’s giving your system enough new experiences that it no longer has to be.

Work with our amazing team to help you dig deep and heal! Link in our bio ❤️

Life lately 🤍

Lake days. Sandy feet. Sleeping kids in the car. Dogs stretched out in the sunshine. Boat rides. Dune adventures. Campfires. Blue skies. And those ordinary little moments that somehow end up being the ones you want to remember most.

Life has felt complicated in a lot of ways lately, but this is the part I keep coming back to: there is still so much good here.

A little slower. A little simpler. More outside. More present. More choosing the life that actually feels like mine.

These are the days. ☀️🌊🐾🔥

✨You don’t need the perfect words to check on someone, you just need the courage to begin.✨

Ask directly. Listen without judgment. Stay present. Take their pain seriously. Help them connect with support.

Sometimes, one compassionate conversation can remind someone that they do not have to carry this moment alone.

If you or someone you know is experiencing emotional distress or thoughts of su***de, call or text 988 for free, confidential crisis support available 24/7. If there is immediate danger, call 911.

Please share this someone may need to see it today. 💚

✨Healing can feel painfully slow when you’re the one living it every day. But your therapist sees the moments you paused instead of reacted, set the boundary, used your voice, tolerated the feeling, or chose yourself differently.✨

Progress isn’t always dramatic. Sometimes it’s the quiet realization: “I handled that differently this time.” And yes, we notice. 🤍
