Mark your calendar for Thursday, August 13th from 3:00–4:00 PM and join us for another Pillars on the Patio Summer Concert featuring the talented Greg Kaczor!

Greg brings an entertaining mix of crowd favorites—from the best hits of the '70s to today's music, timeless classics, and even a little Johnny Cash. There's truly something for everyone!

🌱🍅 Our Garden is Growing! 🥒🌶️

A little sunshine, a little water, and a whole lot of TLC from our Resident Garden Club is paying off! 💚

Our community gardens are looking absolutely beautiful, and we’re starting to see the fruits — or should we say vegetables — of their labor! Tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers and fresh herbs are all growing, with plenty more on the way.

There’s something special about planting a tiny seed or starter, caring for it throughout the summer, and watching it turn into something you can eventually harvest and enjoy. Our residents have done a wonderful job tending to the gardens, and judging by these pictures, we may have quite the harvest ahead of us! 🍅🥒🌿

Jennifer's journey from Resident Assistant to Memory Care Manager has been truly inspiring. She has embraced every opportunity to learn and grow, leading with both strength and empathy while always keeping our residents at the center of everything she does.

Building Strong Bones for a Healthier Future! 🦴💙

Last Wednesday, we were pleased to welcome Amy Swaser, NP, Rheumatology, from Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital for another informative Doc Talk at The Pillars of Grand Rapids.

Amy shared valuable information about bone health and osteoporosis, helping attendees better understand how osteoporosis develops, why bone health is so important as we age, and practical steps we can all take to help prevent it. Knowledge is one of the best tools we have for staying healthy and independent!

A heartfelt thank you to Amy and Grand Itasca Clinic & Hospital for partnering with us to bring these educational opportunities to our residents and community. We also appreciate everyone who joined us—we hope you left feeling informed and empowered to take charge of your bone health.

Every community needs someone to keep a watchful eye on the front door... and at Pillars, we've got the best one around! 💙

Whether he's waiting to welcome a familiar face, hoping for a few extra ear scratches, or making sure every visitor receives the official "Riggs Greeting", our community dog takes his job very seriously. 🐶

Residents, families, and team members all know that a visit is just a little brighter when Riggs is on duty.
