Wishing you all a joyful and meaningful Solstice! ✨☀✨
In the northern hemisphere, the sun is at the height of its life-giving power.
From Earth's perspective, it appears to pause (sol-stice: sun standing still), before it begins its slow descent to its lowest point of the horizon.
In many cultures, this day marks the beginning of summer, and it's celebrated with outdoor feasts, singing, dancing, bonfires, and playing in the sun.
The way it's celebrated hints at a deep truth: There is an assumption of abundance; a trust in what's to come.
The ground has been tilled, seeds have been planted, and new life is beginning to burst forth.
The communities rejoice and celebrate the abundance that already exists as well as the abundance that's still to come.
Perhaps the ground of your life has been tilled and churned recently. Old stories, beliefs, jobs, or relationships that are no longer serving you may have been uprooted or composted to make space for what's to come.
Perhaps you've been planting seeds for what you envision or desire, but the new growth is still hidden or only barely beginning to emerge.
Let us consider the axiom attributed to the mythic sage, Hermes Trismegistus: "As above, so below; as within, so without," and lean into the faith, joy, and confidence of the abundance that already exists in our lives as well as the abundance that lies ahead.
What would it feel like to trust your own growth process - your endless becoming?
How would you choose to spend your days if, instead of expecting a newly planted seed to spring into fullness at the snap of a finger, you simply tended to it day by day, with love and care, allowing it to unfurl on its own timeline.
What abundance already exists within your life, deserving of its own appreciation and celebration?
What if you were to consider the possibility that your life lacks nothing; that you already are enough, already have enough, and already do enough?
May this coming season bring you an abundance of laughter, connection, and peace of mind.
With Love,
Jeni 💜
