🌿 Volunteers Needed! 🌿

We’re looking for volunteers to help keep our Children’s Healing Center sites in Southeast Michigan and West Michigan beautiful and welcoming for the families we serve.

Volunteer opportunities include:
🚜 Mowing lawns
🌱 Weeding flower beds
🌼 General outdoor landscaping help

We’re hoping to find individuals or groups who can help on a weekly or bi-weekly basis through October. Whether you can give a few hours once a week or every other week, your support makes a huge difference for our members and families.

Family Summer Kickoff Party ☀️🎉

🎨 Messy Makers | June 8th-June 11th, 9:30am-12:00pm
Creative campers will explore and express through textures, colors, and reactions in messy art and science activities. Messy Makers is perfect for sensory-seeking and creatively curious kids! Most messes will be made inside the Center, but we’ve added some outdoor time for even bigger, messier fun!

🍎 Top Chef Juniors | June 22nd-June 25th, 9:30am-12:00pm
Get ready for a hands-on culinary adventure! Campers will learn basic skills and explore kid-friendly recipes, edible Play-Doh, and silly sensory activities. It’s the perfect mix of learning, creativity, and tasty fun. Kids will even make the Center staff into human ice cream sundaes!

🚍 Magic School Bus | July 13th-July 16th, 9:30am-12:00pm
Magic School Bus: Journey Through Science will be an exciting week of hands-on exploration for campers! Each day, we’ll adventure through topics like health & the human body, space, STEM, and dinosaurs through fun experiments, creative activities, and imaginative play. Get ready to explore, discover and learn while having a blast with your CHC friends!

🌲 Camp Outside-In | July 27th-July 30th, 9:30am-12:00pm
Camp Inside Out invites campers into a fun-filled experience with excitement of the outdoors brought inside! Campers will enjoy tent play, guided nature walks, ceramics, campfire songs and more through hands-on, creative activities. Each day is designed to spark imagination, build friendships and keep kids engaged in playful discoveries.

May was a meaningful month at the Children's Healing Center as we came together to focus on Mental Health Awareness 💚

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who joined us for our special Caregiver Mental Health Series throughout the month. From our first-ever Mental Health Resource Fair and inspiring conversations with Diana Osipov, PhD from Roots Therapeutic Services with both caregivers and teens, to energizing Cardio Rhythm Drumming with MVP Sports Clubs and a relaxing pampering night with Beautiful You by Profile , Grassroots Henna, GR Massage Life—each event was filled with connection, support, and care.

Mental health matters—not just in May, but every day—and we’re honored to create spaces where our members can feel supported and connected. 💚

Mini Masters Mini Golf is coming to the Center! ⛳

Grab the whole family and join us for a fun-filled evening of Mini Masters Mini Golf on Wednesday, May 27 from 6–8 PM!

Families will make their way through a series of creative mini golf challenges, testing their putting skills while enjoying friendly competition and lots of laughs along the way. Whether you’re aiming for a hole-in-one or just coming for the fun, this is a perfect night out for all ages!
